Quick Explenation: So the way the lovers work is, IF you love a villager, you get stat increases, can "care" for them twice a game to give them *Powerful* Defense (can only die by Tier3, "unstoppable" attacks, which are very rare) that night + clear effects like insanity (from dreamweaver), poison, douses etc. and get lifelinked (if 1 dies, both die). HOWEVER, if a neutral or coven accepts the proposal, you enter a *Toxic Relationship* . How that works is, you DON'T get a statboost, the admirerer gets silenced for 1 night and you *DO NOT* get lifelinked. The Admirerer is supposed to tell about the relationship after one day and call out the bad guy.

Admirer misinterpretation: admirer is a town role that proposes to a player of their choice if the player accepts the proposal and is a townie, then the two are life-linked (if one dies, the other dies of a broken heart) and knows each others roles if an evil accepts the proposal, then the admirer will have a toxic relationship, silencing the admirer for a day if anyone declines the proposal, the admirer gets a second chance to propose to a player, and nothing else happens

Its up to the person playing really how they want to play. But if you except your always running that dice roll of if they will work with you or not.

This game's Admirer and Amnesiac are really bad Town roles, as in they should not be Town, but the devs are really against roles that can choose who wins without consequence (kingmakers), so it's a really weird spot of the game. They both also used to be public about their ability making it easy to confirm them but that's been removed, so it's even weirder than before.

Admirer is very strong for town, they can pick confirmed town members to act as a GA, or reveal info about evils (if they survive the toxic relationship status). Amne however, is shit in ToS2, not because it's town only, but because the role you got as the Amne is random depending on which town died n1-n2. You have no control over what role you might be, as the game suddenly picks you to be the town's 5th Sheriff.

"With the admirer if they say no, they are probably bad." Not really no. Admirer gets lifelinked to their love if its not a toxic relationship. This makes it a vulnerability to accept Admirer since if one of you dies, both of you go. Town roles can reject Admirer, especially important roles like Jailord for example, in order to not create vulnerabilitiyes to themself. Weaker roles like Amnesiac or Sherrif are kind of expected to accept the proposal since no one cares if they die but if they confirm an Admirer its at least something. Admirer is a kind of fucky role without much a solid meta as far as I can discern though. Some people just hate the lifelink, others like getting a confirmed townie ally and a guardian angel. It frequently depends on the individual more than the common sense of the game.

As a ToS player, Rylie had the perfect alibi and was actually proven by the kill that night. He claimed retributionist, and the crusader died to crusdaer. Now, crusader cant kill himself, meaning Rylie used the dead crusader on cole, and ended up killing the other crusdaer. Glen is claiming cleric, which wouldnt kill someone, and cole is prosecutor. Rylie didnt even need a defense, the death that night proved he was retri like he claimed earlier.

Also. The spy (kaif) seeing the dream weaver immune message is 100%evil as no town (to my memory) is immune to that only neutrals are immune. You get the drive you insane message then it ends if they die at the same time (I forget if the you ate cured message shows but I know the immune one dosent)
