Well yes one should say pardon me it's called manners. Whengrowing up we didn't call them farts we said in our house breakwind. I had cousins and in their house they called it shooting bunnies when another set of cousin in their house they called them bucksnorts. So we brokewind and our cousins shot bunnies all visted the cousin that bucksnorted and we all stunk.

@PottersBass yeah, I just think the main point is even if you hold yourself to that, you can't assume someone who DOES drink is "less spiritual" or whatever. And not that you said you did think that, but I feel it's worth bringing up. BTW I'm well aware of the whole "it was actually grape juice" thing and actually, more historians agree that is NOT true, it absolutely DID contain alcohol. But, I don't want to start an argument either

I'm not saying we shouldn't show them love. The problem is that we shouldn't let our faith be slammed by people who have no idea what they're talking about. To show love is not the problem. In fact, I believe that we should always show love to those who oppress us but I hardly believe that God wants us to just stand down and not speak are minds about who we are in Christ.

@christschick ALCOHOL.The main Hebrew word for wine(yayin)andGreek(oinos) can refer to fermented and non-fermented drink.The wine spoken in the bible is generic term, taking bible references out of context and has caused many misunderstandings & deceptions. The word in the bible must be kept in context to fermented or non-fermented. To say that every time wine was mentioned is related to fermented wine is not accurate.

There are good words and bad words. Many people take words that are okay to say such as "fart" and want to make it like it's a bad word. Even though it's not a bad word. He's joking, he's using satire to prove a point. That's all. And besides that he's not swearing cause God says don't swear. There are words that are indeed just words but when you take words and give them bad meanings that's what's bad and that's what defiles you when you say them. "Put a helmet on," as Brad says. :)

And the rational truth is you and would agree that the wine to be non-alcoholic for the scripture to be holy and will not be contrary to the truth of the scripture and the cause and direction of a Christian walk with Christ. And Jesus’ first miracle, well the amount of wine drunk to empty the barrels of wine everyone must have been drunk if it was wine as you know it.
