Actually, what buddhism largely teaches is that if something bad happens to you, you deserved it (karma) and that the enlightened person is so detached from this world that any 'bad' that happens to them is irrelevant.

There's no specific mention of Jesus whipping someone in the bible, however there are two instances where he wields a whip and drives moneychangers (people illegally profiting off of visitors to the temple) and animals being sold in the "common" area that any nationality may enter. Early in his ministry, the reference is John 2:13-17. He once again did it in Matthew 21:12-13 during his last week before the Crucifixion.

God could've sent any one of His legions of angels to deliver a MESSAGE but what made Jesus so special was He was God's Son. He was God in a human. In denying that Jesus was the Son of God you'd be denying the validity of the truth in the Bible. If you can't believe the full, unchanged validity of the Bible... then you have no reason to believe anything about Christianity is true. And thus, the debate moves on to whether Christianity is real or not. But you see how this all ties together?

Actually, no. The Quran was sent down in old Arabic,but arabic none the less. There was never any changes. In Arabic it was sent, and in Arabic is has been kept. The arabic form has never been changed, and the way we know that is because ever since the Quran was sent, thousands of people have memorized it, just so they could tell if it was ever changed. This overlapping of the knowledge makes sure that the original text is never tampered with, and if it did happen, itd be known that its false.

I agree, what with all the paraphrases and whatnot, but don't tell me the Koran hasn't been rewritten and revised. There are many versions to this day still translated from the original Latin/Hebrew script, and are not altered apart from grammatical clarity and basic translation. Jesus was the form of God in man, it's VERY confusing, but if God is all powerful and isn't restricted to laws like logic and sense, then He can do that. Put Himself in the likeness of Man. Plus, when Jesus was...

crucified, the Spirit of God left him because He took on the entire sins of the world, "My God, My God, why have you left Me?" -Matthew 27:46 and God's spirit wasn't with Him anymore. But three days after death, God's spirit returned to Him, and like you said, "God can't die." and Jesus rose from being dead, and continued to preach to thousands. It's a bit confusing seeing how God and Jesus tie together so tightly, but if God is all-powerful, why must He be restricted to say, sense? Or gravity?

Ecept that he repeats over and over that he IS a Christian. Please check me if I'm wrong, I'm honestly curious. Doesn't Islam hold Christ to be the leader of God's army, essentially a version of the Christian Archangel?
@MsVeiledBeauty12 жыл бұрын
Changes in the bible ( as we believe) make you believe he died, but in the Quran, Jesus wasnt killed. He was replaced with some one who looked like him, and sent into the heavens to be protected very much alive and will come down at a time were there will be a man who claims to be a prophet and kills anyone who refuses to believe in him- and Jesus will then come and protect us from himThats what we believe. whether you or I believe there were ever changes, we must agree to disagree at this point

Im not saying Jesus was a liar, by all means no. Im just saying over time, people start to mix up messages. Its just what happens. Books change, so do quotes. What Muslims believe is that he was a messanger, and he was an important man, and a leader, just not the son of god, bacause if that were true, wouldnt he be god? or at least semi god? Then that goes against the fact that theres one god, and if theres more than one god, how is this world still standing? Plz dont take any offense to this...
@manilowmaniak4 жыл бұрын
Close but no cigar. Jesus did not whip anyone. The verse says: "Jesus made a whip from some ropes and chased them all out of the Temple. He drove out the sheep and cattle, scattered the money changers’ coins over the floor, and turned over their tables." What we don't need is more misrepresentation of what is in the Bible. None of us were there so we can only go by what is written. You can use a whip without hitting anyone but to scare them away. Don't spread stories without having the facts.
@IftheShewfits12 жыл бұрын
But Jesus claimed to be the son of God, and also God Himself in human form. So, he was either telling the truth, or he wasn't. And if he wasn't, then he isn't a messenger of God, he's either a dirty liar, or a crazy man. That's the thing about Jesus, he said such bold things that you have to take him as he claims he is or reject him altogether. You can't have it half way.
@MsVeiledBeauty12 жыл бұрын
No, in Islam Jesus is just one of the main prophets/messangers. He was special because he brought the Bible to the human race, yet we believe that the books was altered here and there over time, which makes sense considering theres a lot of different versions of the bible. Its just not perfectly 100% accurate to us. And no, we dont believe that he's a version of any other person or thing. Jesus was just a man, an ordinary man who was chosen to guide his people to God.

@imAddicted2Jesus12 жыл бұрын
In regard to the so-called "in-accuracies" of the Bible, you should research the Dead Sea Scrolls. Jesus said himself that He "IS" the Son of God...so if He isn't, then He's a liar...He can't be a good prophet or a messenger of God because He lied....so He's either the Son of God or a lying deceiving false prophet. Also, if there was any other way to get to heaven besides believing Jesus rose from the dead and asking Him to be the Lord of your life, then why did Jesus have to die?
@MsVeiledBeauty12 жыл бұрын
I do, but you see, we dont believe that the Bible is accurate. Considering how there are so many different versions of it, and how its been altered so many times in history by man, how can it be? Christianity is alot like Islam. Belief in one God, belief in angels, belief in Jesus- just not that he was another form of God. If Jesus died, that doesnt that mean that God sorta kinda dies too, which isnt possible. he's god! God didnt need to have a human form to teach the people. He sent down a man.
@arcpuffin15 жыл бұрын
Also...he needs to get new material...from 2:06-3:03 he says the SAME exact thing almost VERBATIM in an interview. And I hate to tell him but the "angry" side (or in brad's narrow mind, "manly" side) of Jesus was portrayed FAR FAR less than the meek and mild side...he's a disgrace to Christianity!
