Make a transformation race: Hovercraft race with bombs on the ground, Car checkpoint race, Airplane Obstacle Gate Race. Or make a no bearing race with a 30 min time limit Or an only thrusters race ( the vehicle is only made out of thrusters) Or make a beyblade race.

Scrap man I know how to fix your rock skipper, make the rock flat, spin the rock, throw it at a 20 degree trajectory toward the water, angle the rock in the skipper's wrist ( if it doesn't have one make one ) in a 20 degree angle then throw.
