I grew up in a highly intelligent household and my Mom did exactly the same thing, she would talk to us as adults or as I like to say equal to equal. And looking back that was such a wise decision. She would also explain and describe things in great detail, tell stories of the past and basically we talked all the time and discussed basically any subject! When I was very young, she told me bedtime stories and fairy tales that her Dad used to tell her. I absolutely love my Mom, she is the greatest person I have ever met in this world

She used to live in our street and I went to nursery with her daughter back in the day, but the connection to her mother was much closer. She sadly died a horrible death a couple of years back.
