Hey Sandman! I was last in St. Augustine with my friends last year and we actually met you while fishing on the st Augustine pier. We are all back in town visiting from Miami hoping to get on a few reds. If you have any recommendations on where to go I’d really appreciate! Hope to see you around!

Redfish are in deep holes right now. Or can be found in creeks around mid day when the water warms up. They are everywhere in St. Augustine right now. Live shrimp on a jig head. Or VERY VERY VERY SLOW MOVING LURE. Try scented lures. It’s Flat bottom boats and kayak season for redfish. Unless you get lucky on a deep water fishing dock pylon. Best bet is to call Tommy Derringer fishing charter or check with the local tackle shops. I’m not red fishing this week. I’m looking for sheepshead and black drum.
