About the generational differences. Like 3 years ago I saw my brother (12 at the time) work on a school project on Google docs with his friends all at the same time and it was then when it hit me. If my parents at that age had to work on a school project, they had to go to a friends house or stay after school or everyone do their part and put together the project at school. When I had to do the same, we would just use email and send the same document edited back and forth just putting together our parts. And then my brother just works on it with his classmates all at the same time... It's honestly impressive how you don't even notice when things change, but when you less realize it, they have been like that for a while

Permanent Anti-Cheat Idea: That might or might not work at all, but would be hilarious to watch the aftermath. Say a confirmed cheater is found in a shooter game. Instead of banning them. Force update their game with a wonky patch. Just a tiny bit of permanent coding that stays with their system buried somewhere deep in the config, personal, or game files that forces their cross hair to drift away from other players. Like anti magnetic bullets. Hide the file, and log the i.p./system. I dunno. Just sounds fun lol

I've started watching while I'm at the gym but I don't exactly spend 4 hours at the gym so I have to pause then finish at home (sometimes I'll play a game while watching). Today I ended up spending a bit over 2 hours at the gym, the first hour I walk the treadmill (fast enough that I'm already soaked in sweat by the end) then the rest of the time I'll work on either leg, upper body push, or upper body pull muscles (today was a pull day). Can't go very often so I try to go hard enough to make it worth it. I used to watch while taking a walk (about 1.5 hours) but here in Ohio we don't get exactly get warm and not rainy weather most of the year (same reason I haven't bought a motorcycle, hard to justify when I can't enjoy it most of the year).

Only way for them to know (according to BSG), is having both SPT and offical EFT running at the same time. So thats a big no no. And yeah, its completely insane. If anything, BSG should reach out to the SPT folks and get them on board to create a official Single player / Co-op mode to EFT. They lose nothing but open up another market for the game.

I'm getting 17.50 per hour at a dead end factory job (the people are nice and the company is pretty lax overall but I don't see myself retiring from it). I run a press, no certifications or external education, just a few too many years working at factories. Need to get my act together and find a more fulfilling job but I also keep seeing a lot of post like yours talking about how they make barely more than I do (sometimes less) with a ton of education (and probably a ton more debt). Still want a more fulfilling job, or at least one where I can sit on my arse and not handle toxic chemicals and breath toxic fumes for preferably 36-40 hours a week. I've thought about going into business for myself but that's also quite scary and I know the hours could be worse rather than better though I'd have a better shot at making enough money to actually retire by the age of 100 (assuming I'm still alive and kicking). Also not sure what business I'd go into for myself but I'm not getting any younger (and I wish I'd done something more when I was young).

I think more publishers need to sue cheat makers though I'm sure a good chunk of cheat makers are located in places that just don't care (China, Russia, ect). I've heard Microsoft is able to effectively disconnect a lot of servers if they do something nefarious (MS owns a lot of internet infrastructure including nodes and certificate stores) though there are limits on that and they have to be careful not to get on the wrong side of law enforcement (some judges probably wouldn't care if they were doing what's right if it somehow causes them to lose money or they just don't understand how things work and are scared).

I'm pretty sure someone already commented on this, but there are different competitions you can do for DDR. Based on my limited knowledge of the scene, there's straight up scoring (something like Konami Arcade Championship) for both single and double(-pad). There are also freestyle events for both single and double and duet freestyle events that take into consideration score/difficulty/creativity as well. Also, there are other dancing rhythm games as well, with Pump being a common parallel to DDR, Dancerush Stardom getting more popular (to the point where it landed on one of the GDQs), and Dance aRound also starting to show up in Round1's (in the USA, at the very least).

Over the last 5 - 10 years I have been dropping tons of games due to cheating. I started playing Halo 1 on PC when it came out and had a blast for almost 10 years playing it. While it did have cheaters, they weren't common and were very obvious and easy to deal with. When Halo 1 started to die down I ended up playing TF2, Battlefield 2, 2142, and counter strike but every single one I dropped within a few months due to cheating. I started playing PUBG with some friends and it was great at the start, then they added free loot crates you can get with coins earned by playing and it got plagued by cheaters (mostly Chinese crate farmers unfortunately, since more kills/wins = more coins). It has gotten to the point where I've quit playing any remotely competitive shooters, there are no fun ones anymore. No one likes getting shot in the head by someone on the other side of the map every other game when the player render distance isn't even half that distance. The only competitive games I play now are Rocket League and LoL where cheating isn't as common, but its still an issue to some extent (smurfs). The majority of my games are now Singleplayer or Multiplayer PvE games like KSP (KSP2 now), Warframe, FO76, 7D2D, and Payday 2 because I know that any multiplayer shooter is going to eventually be plague by cheaters and investing time or money in them is a complete waste.

They should make it so that you can report people right away in game, but the report is not officially posted. Instead it will put that person into a personal report queue for you that can be viewed in a reported players tab. Then after reviewing replay footage you should be able to more accurately determine if it looks like the person was actually cheating or not and choose if you want to actually send the report or cancel it. This would make reports far more accurate, people who are just angry and report someone are less likely to send junk data because they need to take time out of their day at a later time in order to fully send the report. Then also the game should implement some sort of small incentive for reports that resulted in action taken.

Quiet quitting is not overworking yourself for a job that refuses to pay you better, accommodate its employees, takes the customer's side because its easier to give them what they demand than stand your ground, and various other unfavorable expectations BUT you cant outright quit because you still need a job to survive (barely).

@luke: sounds like condensation at the evaporator coil. If so, it's not broken, it's physics. The fix is either a channel/hose to get rid of the water or a dehumidifier that always runs. If the evaporator is parallel with the ceiling, in may need to be propped at an angle so the condensation can run together for the aforementioned channel. Alternatively, let it run with a target temperature for a few days and capture the drippings. Once the drippings stop, they're likely to be rare or nonexistent moving forward, until you shut off the AC again. -guy who likes cold air
