I'm pretty bummed about Mac Address, I really liked the way it was shot, almost every video took place outside and it just had a different feel to it to regular LTT that was refreshing and interesting. I know the hiatus doesn't mean it's not coming back but I saw Jonathan has left LTT and that kinda feels like the channel wont be the same, I mean if we lost Linus on LTT that would make LTT feel very different too ya know.

I feel the segment on the status of channels was poorly handled and less than transparent. For a show that frequently criticises the hyper growth then shrinking that occurs at large companies and discussing how the execs and poor planning are at fault here, there was shockingly little self awareness and reflection on the fact you are now tacking a similar path.

I completely understand the reasons not to disclose any information around internal changes at the company. As a business, yall don’t owe us any transparency, and it sucks that the byproduct of ultra transparency is consumer distrust and disgust when yall can’t, or won’t, disclose some aspect of the business. I will throw my hat in the ring and say I was disappointed by how brief and dismissive the statement was. I own my own business, and some of my favorite parts of WAN Show is when yall talk about lessons learned, and the mechanics of businesses both large and small. I would have liked to learn from this story. But again, ultimately you’re making the right decision, and I feel like it’s neigh unjust for this much backlash after a very normal business communication.

Never understand the bootlicking "they don't owe us" or the audience/customer isn't entitled. The business isn't owed being supported or entitled to get money from anyone either. It's a two way respect balance, the audience has the respect to not expect too much or any personal details, and the company has the respect to give relevant and detailed to the extent allowed (not by their personal choice, just what they are legally allowed) information to keep the audience up to date and communicate. Neither has to behave that way, but both sides can and should be criticised if they don't.

LTT lives and dies based on whether an audience is present. If a popular music artist decides to just make fart noises for an hour and put it on a CD and it doesn't sell, someone could say that the artist didn't "owe" anyone an actual musical product but the only person it ACTUALLY negatively effects is the artist. In this case, yes LTT doesn't "owe" anyone anything. However, the audience doesn't owe LTT anything either so if the audience in this case is not happy with the answer, then they can leave and it isn't beneficial to LTT. Regarding calling it “merch” - the reason people make that qualification is 100% due to branding, not because of the MM name. I’m sure they know this, but I’ll elaborate. “LTT Store” is directly derived from the name of the KZbin channel. That name inescapably links it to LTT. If they want it to not be considered merch, the company making the products needs to be branded differently than the KZbin channel. Prime example: Teddy Fresh and The H3 Show The association to the channel will always be there and the main audience for it will always be the channel’s audience, but branding and operating separately distinguishes it in the slightest way further away from being “KZbinr merch”.

My example is CLOAK. A fashion brand made by Jacksepticeye/Sean and Markiplier/Mark. Sure, they announced it on their channels but they made every effort from the start to say "This is not merchandise, we simply started this new and separate endeavour". Sure, they still got flack at the start from people who didn't get it, and they advertise drops on there but it grew disconnected from the KZbin brands it came from. Naming it "LTT" Store is not helping in any way to separate it from the channel. Imagine if Gucci had a KZbin channel (they probably already do, imagine they don't), you would think of it as "Gucci the Fashion Brand's KZbin channel" and not "Gucci the Fashion Brand is merch for their KZbin channel". This is very much a "LTT Store is merch for the LTT Channel", changing the branding to something separate like Creator Warehouse would help buckets.

This is my public plea to save TechQuickie. While LTT videos are fun to watch, reviews aside there really isn't much practical content these days- it's mostly being able to vicariously see all the cool stuff out there and to dream about what could be with an unlimited budget. Tech quickie, on the other hand, has been dropping actual tech knowledge. While I understand it may need some "razzing up" and perhaps better animations, etc. please don't kill the channel that's still actually giving tech tips!

I think good achievements give you an idea of a fun way to play the game and have a challenge. Dumb achievements are ones that are basically time wasters. An example is in BG3, there is an achievement for playing instruments around NPCs and them giving you a certain amount of money. It's extremely boring, you just click a button and watch your character play a song for a paltry amount of gold so you have to do it a few times. That's why I don't like achievement hunting for achievements sake, because a lot of them are just boring and the only satisfaction are the fake digital gamer points.

KZbin viewers seem to think they know what’s best for a business they parasocially engage with. There may well be decisions people don’t like but at the end of the day LTT is a business and has to make tough decisions sometimes to ensure long term viability. Remember, you and I don’t have complete information. The best thing you can do is to suggest what you liked about the channels that have been paused. I hope the refocus brings up the quality of the content that is being produced, I feel like 80% of the main channel videos are filler.

Used to work at Delta force paintball in the UK and it was pretty aweful. Guns would have known issues that go unresolved, the matches were often not the lengths advertised (called it Delta 5s afaik) and the hoppers would have terrible lids and people would often lose their paintballs and the pricing of paintballs was horrific. (And that's ignoring that I was expected to work for less than minimum wage as we wouldn't be able to clock in until ~30 mins after work & never being given time to eat/have a break after working for longer than I was supposed to being under 18 at the time. I can't recommended Delta force for these and more reasons.

I used to work for a heavy-weight air freight company in the 1990's. (The company only existed in the 1990's.) One of our clients had a 1-800 number that was one digit off from a sex talk line. (Guys, it was the 1990's, and most people weren't on the internet back then.) It came to light because something they had printed had a typo with the sex line's number instead of theirs. We had a chuckle about it in our office for a few days. And I don't remember the details more than what's here. Almost positive the talk line is long gone, and with 30 years, pretty sure the numbers for the client are changed as well. The point is, this shit happens ALL THE TIME! And outside of those who can't go more than five minutes without being outraged about something will be the only ones who'll remember or care that Mattel accidentally included a Pron website instead of the actual website because of how similar they are. Give it a few months. I say either Jan or Feb 2025, and most people won't even remember about it without needing to be reminded. It's a nothing burger other than a chance at us to snicker at Mattel's issue for a few days.

Facebook Marketplace's location locking is actually kinda broken. It gets region locked when you use it for the first time. And you can never set a location outside of that region later. My sister's account is locked in france so she had to make a dummy account to be able to make and search for listings in north america. We couldn't find any way of changing it.

Working in a company that's too small to recognize my work is nuts. It was kinda a mistake by making Mac Address exclusively hosted by Horst. Well, as you can see, his disappearance made the channel to be put on hold. Even though the channel probably didn't perform well, the channel is already associated with Horst and a host replacement wouldn't feel the same. Horst is a good host, don't get me wrong. But it's a risky decision to put someone as a face of a channel that isn't owned by them.

For peeps complaining about the transparency of the channels and employment status of certain people. There are two reasons for this: One they can't share for one reason or another and Two, it's best not to at this time as some answers may be incomplete or too vague. Given they have a policy of not directly sharing about the employees/ex-employees when it potentially comes to personal matters, that's fair. If you don't understand that then that's too bad. There is such a thing as privacy for those employees and as they are potentially separated from the company, it's none of our business why for most circumstances. As far as the channels, he specifically stated to evaluate and refocus on what will become of the channels. That means there is no clear picture so there is nothing to share. We got all we could get at the moment. Anything else isn't permitted or isn't viable as an answer so there is no transparency to share. The fact they shared anything is well enough. You can't ask for answers when there are none to share. 🤷 Its clearly stated the status of the channels and why its like that. And the employee situation is quite literally none of our business as it will ultimately involve the privacy of those people. Like when one of the employees stepped out of public eye of his/her/their own choice, we never got an answer from LMG on the whole situation. The person made a youtube video on their own channel explaining it. Other than Linus explaining what I just did, there isn't anything else to say on it. He said what he needed to and left it at that. You guys need to chill
