Get you the leake defender fuel caps. I just got them for my KW T660 because the fuel was leaking out bad. It turned out it was the tank threads them selves. The kit is little expensive. The piece of mind you get though is priceless. No fuel leaking as your driving down the road. Highly recommended. And it's better then replacing the the whole tank.

I have an old 1970 Kenworth. No air ride front end. No low visor. No A/C. No power steering. And a 350 Detroit. Has Neway air ride on the drives. Still makes the same money as all the fancy trucks.

If you ever have time I’ll love to hear your opinion on guys buying their own truck and trailer and if you think that’s a good idea. I have only $40,000 saved but I’m heavily considering getting a pre 2000 W900 and a 53’ reefer, I’m just not sure if it’s smart in this economy.

Thanx man!! ill be straight with you.... i dont know a lot about reefer work, we do a little bit but direct with with local customers. As with anything there is risk!! If you drive for a good company and they take good care of you then stick with them!!! There are a lot of headaches and sleepless nights with owning... the nice thing with just driving is you can go home at the end of the week and be headache free!!! no services, tire changes or last minute repair.... just my 2 cents!!!!

I'm down here in Maryland. I've been around the block a few times and have been thinking about expanding. I mean really expanding. Your business model of purchasing the older trucks and having your own repair and restoration facility is beginning to grow on me. The pre-emissions engines just run better, period. I hear some guys say it's hit or miss with the NEWER lemons, but if you get stuck with one it can be nothing but trouble. Plus, the industry is in need of facilities that can hire and support new mechanics, etc.. If you're running a small fleet regionally, it definitely seems to be the way to go. #Hollywood US DOT 366063 .
