Very good buy! Your buddy was saying those 80 football wax boxes had black marker on top of the boxes, to let people know they were on the top of the case that got stapled. That info is wrong Topps ran Black marker on the boxes that were returned or left in their warehouse. And dumped them at a cheap price, at the end of they year. I know I bought several back then. The black marker is to let the buyer know these were bought at a discounted rate and should not pay full retail for them. Similar to ripping off the front cover to a magazine.

Awesome score!!! You need to submit all the stars and rookies from 1979 back if they are in good shape. PSA is the way to go. A lot of the 1950s football cards have low populations in higher grades and a common being graded could bring hundreds instead of a couple of dollars. From what I saw you have the potential after grading of over $100,000. Be careful with the vintage cards they will bring you big money.

so you bought it for $3000, sold it to your friend for $7000? WOW i guarantee you this is a $70,000 collection at least and here's why: the most important clue is the fact that this person who originally collected the cards seems to have bought packs and then put them directly into the sheet protectors without knowing that years and years later we would have this thing called psa graded cards where you can send them in and get a psa 10 possibly the reason why anyone would jump at paying $7000 for all of that is because you can "sit" on every single card one by one and have an extreme good look at it to see which ones would be worth it to send in for psa 10 grading nothing matters in sports collecting more than getting a perfectly graded card of psa 10 (especially 1970s and 1980s) and if i were to make an educated guess, these were probably all being collected from about the early 1990s and before which psa grading wasn't really around or they weren't that popular at the time the 1983 topps ryne sandberg rookie was in a sheet protector? and this guy was definitely down playing the 1975 topps mini binder and i am very very certain that he was glad you rushed him off to close it up real quick to go onto the next behind because the george brett 1975 topps mini psa 10 graded is on the psa website $19,500 and then the last card of that set is a hank aaron that's $12,500 psa 10 graded lets say there was a george brett 1975 mini in there with a hank aaron mini for that set, even if it's not psa 10 graded, assuming psa 9 that's about $2000 total between those 2 cards alone i estimate there are at BARE MINIMUM 7 cards seen on the video that are worth $1000 a piece assuming they are psa 8 or psa 9 so that's $7000 right there what about the $200 and $300 ones? lets not even talk about those because you got tons and tons of those and then comes the fun part any card collector who knows how to look at each individual card one by one to see what will be worth sending in for grading and hope you get a few psa 10s that might be worth $5000 on well over $10,000 per card! you take your time to let the card shine under the light, you get a magnifying glass, to check for creases, and you double check the centering on the card extra extra hard to be sure it's got perfect centering potential for psa 10 i would not be surprised that 10 cards out of that whole collection would come back from getting graded psa 10 with each card worth anywhere between $500 to $10,000 on up all it would take is for you to get one of those star cards from the 1970s to come back graded psa 10 and that's at least $5000 right there if there's a 1975 reggie jackson topps mini in there, looks like that card might be in one of the sheet protectors lets assume there is no george brett mini or hank aaron mini, what about 1974 topps binder at 19:47 ? just skimming through hank aaron like it's nothing? that first card is worth $11,500 psa 10 graded, psa 9 graded $1,300 it looks off centered though and my estimation is that it would be a psa 8 if everything else is perfect on the card and then that's only $110 but what really caught my eye is the jim hunter card (the card on the bottom left after all the 6 hank aaron cards), that is $500 psa 10 and it looks really centered good the camera angle makes it seem that the jim hunter card is just ever so slightly pulled to the right, top to bottom looks perfectly centered but this is just 1 card out of the whole entire video that i decided to zoom in on and i don't even know anything about football cards! just the baseball cards alone i'm telling you $70,000 man that 1974 topps nolan ryan does look off centered, probably only worth $60 at most but what about dave winfield 1974 ? is it in there? $7750 card if psa graded 10 and $500 psa 9 1974 pete rose card psa 10 graded is $4500 and if it comes back graded only a psa 9 that's just $300 but still, based on giving away that entire collection for $7000, it's very worth it to pay for some of the cards to get graded and see if you hit something good! rene nezhoda, i know that you are very happy to get more than double your money back from only paying $3000 for this entire collection but man this was a goldmine bud and well over half the cards were not even shown! the reason the guy paid $7000 to you is because it was a no brainer seeing that most of the corners were sharp and that many, MANY of the cards that were in sheet protectors SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN HARD PLASTICS rene i happened to see your ebay account for the first time and seen 3 of those lamar odom basketballs still for sale $1500? $2000? $3000? it's been 2 years since that video, it's my favorite video of yours talking about those basketballs but man the baseball cards in this video is a humongous steal, i can't believe tonight was the first time i saw it and i wonder about your friend whom you sold it to for $7000 there is no way in hell you should ever be in the business of getting ripped off like this for $50,000 plus even if it's only 1 time, and i'm looking in the comments section to see if anyone said anything but it seems that nobody knows anything about baseball cards on your channel i hope that this video gets more views from bonafide baseball card collectors, let them study all the cards frame by frame and mention all the good cards that were missed

Most autographs from "Ken Goldin" back in the day will NOT pass PSA or JSA Authentication. Unfortunately there was a lot of fraud especially back then (early to mid 90's) and there was millions autographed/signed of items made with "Certs" that were not real. The way they got around the system is by calling it an "opinion" on he certificate of authenticity. Get them recertified before selling. We don't need more fakes in the hobby/industry.

I dont get you guys. Its obvious that yall like the items, but at the same time yall buy and sell for next to nothing. Why don't yall sell your stuff for actual value? The reason why I am saying this is because I sell my stuff for full value to guys just like you guys. Every collectors comes in and admires our items and do not mind paying full value. I also give them the option to do trade ins. So I enjoy seeing the stuff they bring me instead of me needing to go to them. Of course if they want a cash payout the yes I pay very little. My max is $5 cash for any trading cards that fill a 650ct storage box. And I offer .25 per comic. I really dont like to pay cash though thats why I offer them so little. BUT my cash offer is still much higher than you guys pay. Im just curious. I'll keep watching your videos to see if I can figure out how yall are able to make money with the cards & comics yall buy. Why dont yall include information about your sales and customers? I'm interested to see your shop setup and how your customers feel about the store.

You over paid sorry to say, all that 80s junk is great for kindling. The older cards you will probably get about $700 for if your lucky. Please, please tell me who's paying $100 for 1988 Topps football wax boxes?
