It certainly is not a coincidence 24 tourists were murdered on this island. Never ever ever going to visit this bloody getaway!!! Shame on the police and owners of this island, Hell awaits your coming ❤

I was attacked in that exact same place where those bodies were found a little more than a year before those murders. I literally was almost Hannah. I was with another male and two men in masks ran up behind us as we were sitting along that same run off and smashed a rock over his head. The Thai police completely ignored my story when I contacted them. Coincidence? I think not. Why go to a place where they allow people to get away with rape and murder. Thailand is a beautiful place but I refuse to ever go back and support a place that takes no responsibility and even BLAMES tourists for their own demise. That being said, you made a great video 👍 thank you for bringing some awareness to the island and I’m glad you left safely.

🇨🇦 I can tell that this comment came from Carla Bartel who was with UK 🇬🇧 man Sam Venning in July 2013 when they were attacked by MASKED MEN at the alcove where the bodies of Hannah Witheridge and David Miller were found. Carla and Sam both granted interviews for my KZbin channel, which I published in 2021 and which were subsequently picked up by the mainstream media, most notably by Daniel O’Mahony of THE MIRROR UK. I shall post some links to the videos for anyone interested. 🎥

I kinda suspect that they were the scape goats but didn’t follow the news that much about following mysterious murder/suicide cases. Thanks for bringing up this case. As a Burmese, I feel bad for these two men.

Never going to Thailand ever again. Last year I went on a tour group with my family. I totally forgot about all the tourists that "suicided" by jumping of hotel balconies. Police just "concluded an investigation" within 3 days for 6 vietnamese that died in a hotel room. Said it was "cyanide" self-suicide because of money or some shit... yeah real convincing. Thailand is "safe" said the authorities and TOTALLY NOT sweeping it under the rug 😛

I’ve visited Koh Tao in 2016 and can agree it’s such a chill place. Here’s an interesting story what I’ve experienced myself… I met some people and we went to Koh Lanta (another “chill” island). There we hang out one night (just one night, trust me) at a bar. The bar guy was quite quit. The day after we spend some time at a beach and met some other people who asked us what we did last night. So we told about the bat we went. Then we heard that the guy behind the bar was a former hitman. Well, we’ll never know if that’s true. But then again, in Asia nothing is too crazy… Anyways, this was something different than your other videos, but really awesome! Never knew this about the island.

There is a former diving instructor on the island of Koh Tao by the name of Pat “Santi” Khokpool. He claimed to be a hitman and was certainly extremely violent. He was hired by BAN’S DIVING RESORT after Mr Ban was shot 6 times in cold blood in broad daylight back in 2002. Anyway, he worked for Ban’s as a diving instructor and also hung around their bar known as THE FISHBOWL BEACH BAR. In August 2000 he slashed open the left side of a British tourist’s neck with a beer bottle after smashing it on the guy’s jaw in an unprovoked attack. All this happened in front of a host of witnesses and the attack was unprovoked. Ban’s decided to fire him. PADI eventually expelled him too but it seems there were no other consequences for Santi whose brother is a Lieutenant Colonel with the Royal Thai Police stationed in Surathani. (Lt Col Saravut Khokpool) Welcome to Koh Tao! If you search those names on KZbin you can find plenty more information about the characters.
