We spent a night in the Uk's SMALLEST BOTHY! Then We Painted it!

Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel!!
This week I’m joined by my friend ‪@JakesJourneyMate‬ . We camp overnight in Grwyne Fawr Mountain Bothy… The MBA’s smallest registered bothy.
We bump into another 2 lads who work for the MBA called boot and will…. He drank some beers and whisky and had an evening full of banter and storytelling. Nice to meet you lads!
In the morning, Jake and I paint the downstairs of the bothy to help do our bit for the community.
The location is absolutely stunning with rolling hills, a dam, a reservoir and the bothy itself.

Stayed in that bothy few years back when doing my ML training, was great to stay there…must head back at some point. The great thing about bothies you never know who you’re gonna bump into and have a great chat and put the world to right! I stopped in a few Bothys in the 90's (Cairngorms) as part of a military team building expedition. Our small team met loads of friendly people who all joined in to keep the places respectable. We always left some current ration packs and firewood for the open hearth for those in true emergency refuge. These weren't as classy as yours but the sentiment rings true. Good to see. Top tip don't use white rocks to take a map bearing (sheep tend to move).

Excellent, and very different. I've only been in a couple of bothys (Scotland) and only in the day. I've always been wary about sleeping in one in case someone dodgy comes along. Or worse than dodgy. 😳Glad it all worked out for you guys. Cheers mate ✌️ Nice paint work by the way. 😁

Steve Dowling stoves are excellent. We live in Cambrian Mountains in a 450 year old stone house and in order to heat the place we bought a large wood burner from Dowling Stoves 20 years ago, it has never failed us. Can't recommend them highly enough. Great vid. Good to see you back in beautiful Wales.

Great trip! I would have like to be there talking with that old fellow and having a little of that Irish sleeping medicine. Got a question about your Bergen. I use one too. Did you have any work done to it? Looks like there's more padding on your waist belt. I had to put extensions on mine because I have a lot of extra waist. I'm 65 and am getting over a broken leg. Trying to get rid of it. Anyway, when I load that thing up, it weighs a ton! I think I'll load the lighter, puffy things in and use my cart for the rest. Any tips? Maybe don't bring so much stuff?
