thanks for the info. I will skip the winter trip. Where I am from we get 3 metres of snow a year. I am going in all small town trip this fall for about 2 months, starting in Hokkaido, so I have to be really careful with my budget

I'm making my first trip to Japan at the end of January. I'm going to Sapporo for the snow festival/skiing, and originally was going to fly to Aomori prefecture, then take rail to Morioka, then to Sendai But I realized that even fairly good public transport has limits when you add in rural and winter factors. And the big ticket items I wanted to see are evening events, which adds on even more difficulties (Hirosaki snow sakura, Lake Towada Winter Story). So I nixxed the Aomori and Morioka components, but I'll still go to Sendai.
@whatchuHANAdo11 ай бұрын
Oh wow! How lovely! I heard Hokkaido in general is amazing for skiing as the snow is like powder! ✨ It does get difficult when you add in rural and winter factors, but we didn’t have much trouble going around! Enjoy your trip and I hope you have a wonderful time in Japan ❤️

That's the way to do it! Travel smart, and 新幹線が大好きですよね!Sometimes you need to use the speed trains to get to where you need to go! This also proves that Japan doesn't have to be super expensive, either! Great job! おめでとうございます!

@whatchuHANAdo Жыл бұрын
Hi, Noemie! ☺️ we put them in lockers! Haha there are usually lockers around the station that go from 300-700yen. We only had one suitcase with us and it wasn’t big at all so that made it easier for us. Pack light if you can!

Hi Hannah. Did you consider Airbnb for your lodging? And why didn't u consider it? Lovely scenery but would probably stay longer if there are interesting places to visit per stop, since u there already. Probably consider fall or spring. Expensive? Yes, for us tourist. But for locals, probably a piece of cake.? 😁
@whatchuHANAdo2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Nice to see you here! :) haha used to use Airbnb when I used to go to Japan as a tourist. For trips like this, hotels are more convenient since they are closer to major city stations. :) Airbnbs are priced almost the same when this close to major city stations…sometimes even more expensive! :) We treated this trip more like a little travel buffet and wanted to go see a little of every prefecture and then eventually go back to the ones we really liked. Our goal is to visit all the prefectures in Japan! Hahaha it’s not really a piece of cake! Lol we really save up for trips like this and only take it once or twice a year! :)
