There's a reason the Power Whip didn't KO Kabuto. It unbelievably got Power Swap against that Dwebble on the immediate next turn after Dodrio's Memento, forcing the sacrificial -2 Attack and Sp. Atk drops onto Mikey's side. Add that in with the several healing moves and 4x effective hits and you've seen the most outrageous string of near-consistent good luck I've watched any one Pokémon get with Metronome.

So, Let's recap: Mikey's Gastrodon is up against Lady Cindy's Kabuto. First turn, Kabuto triggers Storm Drain with Water Pledge and then Electrifies Gastrodon, making the next move electric type, which would have been bad with its raised special attack. But Gastrodon tries to Sucker Punch and fails a possible KO. Then, Gastrodon Quiver Dances, raising its special attack even more, but then uses Super Fang and does a set amount of damage. Kabuto then bites, using Gastrodon's Oran Berry and Gastrodon finally uses its special attack with Disarming Voice, but it doesn't kill. Lady Cindy then Full Restores because this battle just so happened to be one of the 2 early game NPC's that do that. Gastrodon tries to Horn Drill for an easy KO, but it fails since its lower level than Kabuto by a 1 level difference. Gastrodon then Fiery Dances, raising its special attack again but is then knocked down to red HP before it can use it. When Mikey switches Gastrodon for Bellossom, Kabuto Glares it first turn, paralysing it. Mikey switches Bellossom for Swanna after its ability gets suppressed and Kabuto uses Freeze-Dry that exact turn. The singular ice type move that would not be neutral, but be 4 times super effective against a Water/Flying type. It Crits and KO's swanna before it can even move. Mikey switches in Leavanny, and Kabuto uses another 4 times super effective move, Brave Bird. It OHKO's Leavanny, and survives the recoil with red HP. Thinking red doesn't suit it very well, it Milk Drinks back to green health as Mikey brings in Dwebble. It then Bides, and Dwebble damages it that turn but then it tries to fling without a held item on the turn that Kabuto stores for energy. Bide doesn't kill and Dwebble raises its attack with Meditate. Then Kabuto Milk Drinks Again! Restoring its HP back to green. Dwebble fails a sing. Kabuto then thinks that some Special Defense buffs would be nice and brewes up a sandstorm, and on that specific turn Mikey's Rock type Baton Passes. Mikey switches in Dodrio who Mementos first turn, killing itself instantly. And as if that wasn't enough, Kabuto uses Moonlight, healing itself to nearly full HP. When Dwebble switches back in, Kabuto uses Power Swap, transferring the Memento debuffs it just got to Dwebble. And then it Double Teams, and Wishes. Dwebble then uses Role-Play, changing its ability from Shell Armor, which blocks Critical hits, to Battle Armor, which does the exact same thing. Kabuto then Play Roughs, almost killing Dwebble. Dwebble fights back with finally a 4 times super effective Power Whip, but because of the Memento Attack drops it doesn't kill, and Wish heals it back up. A frustrated Mikey switches in Bellossom, as Kabuto uses Icicle Spear, gets a 4 hit, and drops Bellossom to red HP. Then kills it next turn. As Gastrodon switches in, Kabuto heals back to full HP with Morning Sun. It then triggers Storm Drain twice which does nothing as Gastrodon uses physical moves, last one being Superpower which lowers its Defense. Kabuto is at red HP, spits dirt at its enemy and kills Gastrodon with a Crit Mud Shot. And then finally flexes its might as it kills Mikey's last Pokémon, his low HP Dwebble, with Hyper Beam. This is the craziest Metronome battle i've seen since MBF. And its against a Pokémon that caused Mikey physical injury, utilizing the dirty milky tactics of his least favourite Pokémon.

Yes! These Metronome Randomizer Nuzlockes are always great! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how this one goes! This first episode was a great start to the series! Also Mikey saying he's neurodivergent really struck a chord with me since I'm neurodivergent myself and to know that one of my two favorite PokéTubers is too just makes me so happy! Also I would definitely say that the condensation dripped all over me too...I actually use that as my reason to not drink any cold beverage in the car because I hate when my clothes get wet from the condensation getting everywhere. 😅

Pointelockes are great for people who get overwhelmed easily, I don't but my typical soullink/nuzlocke partner usually nopes out when they get their first death or two, but not fully losing stuff while still adding stakes is way easier to deal with.
