This isn't an actual preclusion. I have the same disorder he does and I assure you that it can be overcome with effort. He just makes no effort.

You get to discover all kinds of stuff you never would otherwise if you're good at video games, like seeing what the Game Over screens in incredibly easy games look like, or learning little “secrets” like Maria helping out in the prologue of Symphony of the Night if you’re performing that badly already, or hearing what it sounds like when a guy who sucks as an adult at a game 10-year-olds were acing when it was new and there was no internet to assist them decides Super Mario 64 is and always was garbage because he’s mad that he can’t complete relatively simple tasks and that's somehow the game's fault.

This is the first time I've seen someone get the bad ending without actively trying to. This is genuinely amazing. Arin started strong by getting the roach call right, went downhill almost immediately, and then utterly tanked his score by not using his brain and completely forgetting every other entry exists once new ones are available. This episode is an example of the Dunning-Kruger effect in full swing. Arin is so confident in his barely researched answers and proud of the resulting 60% success rates as if 60% isn't a failing grade. It would be one thing if he was just giving answers randomly because he doesn't give a shit, but he legitimately thought he was doing a really good job and ignored/denied all the indications to the contrary.
