We give an honest review of this shocking holiday destination, as we share a budget holiday review and tour of our apartment / accommodation.
This is not a hotel but definitely cheaper than a hotel so this video can give you some money saving ideas for holidays or future trips and help with finance!

As a child in the 90s this was my favourite place on earth, we had numerous holidays here and so many happy memories, I remember it always be so busy and full of families and where the dinosaurs are they had a massive wooden pirate ship slide that you would slide down and land in the sandpit at the bottom, It’s changed a lot and not for the better which is a shame x

Honestly if somewhere isn't clean then I don't care what else there is going for it, it's a big no for me. Especially the litter/cigarette butts etc, I wouldn't feel comfortable with my kids playing around there. Good video as always guys - although I think you're far too nice about things sometimes haha. My 8 year old is obsessed with your videos so we watch at least one a day, sometimes from a few years ago! Hope you're having fun in your van.

Family Freedom take on Pontins part 2! Let’s gooo! I can see how the room needs to be improved but everything else seems okay and I really like the look of the entertainment and activity they seem very good for children and families and adults too! I like how honest you are but you never rude about it, just informative about what you thinking and what bits can be reviews. You are so right about moaning around the kids because they are so intelligent they take everything in and they won’t enjoy it as much. I was watching this with only one eye opened lol. 😜I was afraid something would jump out after hearing those reviews. 🤷‍♀️ I'm so glad nothing did..whew! When you see places like this you imagine that they cannot afford to maintain the place or even pay for enough staff to clean properly. It's sad because it does have quite a few things to offer for kids etc. Fun video glad you all survived.

My family and I always went to Pontin’s growing up, I was shocked at the reviews, I’m not sure which one you went to but I think I have an idea but it does sound like it’s gone downhill which is a shame. Thank you for the video and it’s good to hear Jojo’s thoughts from a child’s perspective as well

I'm old school with pontins but Cambers a palace compared to Prestatayn or Southport. Then again its a holiday that can be as low as £20 a night.I also know that staff get between 5 and eight minutes to totally clean a chalet

Why not to stay here again: Not allowed to take a van in, no bedding supplied, no shower, have to pay extra for electricity, damaged door, broken toilet seat, tiny tv in the living area, uncomfortable sofa bed, damaged wallpaper, cracked mirror, rusting radiator, wardrobe hanging off the wall, cracked tiles, black mould on door, Litter everywhere, un maintained lawn, pool closed when supposed to be open, prize counter only upon 90 mins a day, gamesroom closed, sticky floors, damaged seats. Pro’s: decent space, soft play, evening entertainment, play parks, skate park, large grocery store, near the beach. I think the con’s out way the pro’s.

Around 7 years ago my mum drove us alllll the way to Pontins for a 5 day trip. When we got there we had a look around and shortly hopped right back in the car and drove all the way back home. 😂

Looks like it hasn’t improved in fifteen years since we went and had a cheap break which only lasted one night and I only stayed because was so tired from travelling. How can this company not sort out basics . The place was filthy unkept and doesn’t look like it has changed. Why why why don’t go there people. Great videos guys

We went to a pontius in Wales, it was awful, filthy, greasy, sticky carpets, un clean bathroom and kitchen, we only managed to stay one night and wished we hadn't stayed for that, there were long queues outside customer services.

It didn’t look the best did it. Very worn down and tired decor. I used to work as a cleaner at a Haven caravan site. I would say that if the maintenance and decor hadn’t been updated in a while it didn’t matter how well you cleaned the place it would still looked bad.

I see this location closed down permanently a couple months after your trip. Some of the nickel and diming they do would be challenging for me to overlook - for example, I've never in my life even heard of a place that makes you pay for electricity as a separate charge or doesn't supply linens as part of the base room. Reminds me of something I've only ever seen in old movies where people had to feed coins into a meter to get heating gas by a timer into their apartments. While I do see they had a lot of areas that would appeal to kids, the overall lack of cleanliness and upkeep would make me uncomfortable having my kids playing in those areas because I'm sure they are never washed. I'll bet a lot of children were sick after a visit to a petri dish like their inflatables (which they were charging extra for?? wow) Is this what is meant by a holiday "chalet"? in the UK? I've heard that phrase before and I think I heard Bob use it here. Never knew exactly what it was. I like the way you always treat each other with respect even in trying circumstances!

Hey thanks for your comment 👍 The extra charges for things like electricity is definitely strange, we don't know anywhere else that does that. It would make more sense just to factor it into the overall price 😊 We don't know what the exact reason for the closure was, but we imagine it must have been something pretty bad, way worse than just poor standards. We do still think it was a good place for kids, especially for a family that is on a low budget, but not if it is deemed unsafe or even inhospitable 🤔

We stayed there once, my brother and I weren't very old possibly in the early 80's, it was our one and only stay it wasn't great even back then and we went to the crocodile club who managed to lose us on the first morning within about 10 minutes of us getting there. I don't think it's been updated since then.

Hey Louise, thanks for your question 😊 There are lots of different things we do to try and keep the van cool such as having all the doors open when parked, the windows open when we drive, parking in shade and we also have a USB powered fan to use too 👍

Me and my family stayed at Pontins and it was honestly vile. We walked in and there was filth, sand and feathers all over the floor. There was rubbish and rotten food left in kitchen area. Mould allover the curtains, hair all in ‘shower,bath’ and a Poo!! In the toilet. Then to top it off there was a 2 hour queue to complain!!! Southport was the one we stayed at and never ever agin would I go to a pontins. You couldn’t pay me to go

Think you need your eyes tested lol the place was dirty lol plus normally when you book somewhere I have never had to put any electricity in it should have come with it
