IKR! Since living in Tucson since 1997, I've had a number of hauntings here. Not as intense as when I lived in Sedona, but noteworthy, nonetheless. Many of the deceased Natives that were massacred by the Spanish conquistadors & clergy haunt the land, especially near the (now) dry riverbeds & washes. Father Kino was NOT a kind man. I used to live near the statue of him, and it would upset me every time I saw it. I once went to the Masonic Temple near downtown and Hotel Congress, and the lower floors had a creepy, evilish vibe. I didn't know it had a reputation for being haunted. I've had lots of fun at Hotel Congress, for dining, clubbing, & events, but always felt a foreboding sense of heaviness & gloom above the ground floor, where the rooms are located. The restaurant OK Corral on River Road would have ghosties yelling at me whenever I drove by. Not taking it seriously, thinking it was my imagination, I didn't think much of it. I happened to dine there, and ran into the manager. She told me how haunted the place was, and once a kettle was thrown across the kitchen while staff were present. This isn't a ghost story, but I have had unusual contact with the cryptid known as Sasquatch. They live in the surrounding mountains. I have felt the presence of 1800s military men, 1900s miners, and ancient Native Americans in Madera Canyon, south of town. Some of the Indian Reservations and barrio neighborhoods here have a negative vibe. I've seen some UFOs here. I enjoy living in Tucson, has a nice chill culture.
