Glad you enjoyed your Fourth, Carl. (I think I already told you I finally made it back to the USA ... Florida ... really enjoyed my first 4th back in the States in 18 years. Baling hay, especially small square ones, Darn I wish I was there. I notice the knotter on your JD baler appears very much like the one I am used to on the hew Holland baler I used to run. You could watch one of them tie all day long and still never see how they really make the knots ... I'll have to look for a slow-mo video. And _BIG_ congrats to Kaylee ... boy it only seems like yesterday I was watching her as just a little slip of a girl helping out and now she's grown so quickly. both in size and character. And Andrew also ... already helping out with the fencing and those are precious moments with his granddad ... those hours will ever come again. Great Video! Covered a lot of territory. When I was a kid we had friends with a hay baler like that. Brought back fond memories. We had a lot of rain here in N.E. Oregon, but not all at once, the river stayed put. Enjoyed the class on the Hog Barn. And congrats to you and your daughter! Great family channel.

Yeah I’ve looked into it quite a bit and it’s something I need to do. Apparently it wasn’t as common for the first gen 12 valve to fail as it was on the later P-pump 2nd gen 12 valves. Still, it can happen and I need to find time to tear into it and make sure it doesn’t happen to mine. Thanks for looking out for me! Where do you live? Want to just do it for me?

You may have already done this, I might have missed it, I am a relatively new watcher. Is there a video, or instructions about the blue plastic barrel fence. I understand the concept, and I understand how it works, I am just curious if 1) you are pleased with it, and 2) what would one need to know in constructing this blue barrel fence. I need to span a wet weather creek in two places about 40' across, with a 15' deep channel. Probably more, but I would like to know what you learned, what you would do different, and how you attached them... Thanks, you fan Steve in Texas -- It is hot as H*ll here.

Just think of all the money you are saving. Over all the farmers with a million dollars in newer shiny big equipment that is costing them more for fuel today. Than their equipment payments.

I like things that are simple. Easy to work on and easy to maintain. Eventually, these old things are going to be really hard to get parts for. That’s going to have an effect on the simplicity factor for sure.
