to explain what happened to your server... there are magic gremlins that go in to every thing checking to see if the magic smoke has been let out or to top off the magic smoke. some time they get lost on the way back out and when you opened the case you let it out... good thing you did because the longer they are trapped the angrier and more destructive they get. /s

I mean at this point I’ll believe anything. The server was straight dead. Like it’d boot and hard lock immediately. Then it just started working after I opened it. Sooo your story checks out IMO

@@SPXLabs My guess is corrosion, or vibration - re-seating PCBs 'scrapes' the Contact Surface clean, or vibration from Fans or in/out sliding into the Rack shook something loose
