Testing out the Reolink Duo 3 PoE IP Camera

Been using Reolink Cams for a few Years, they work Well. Firmware & updates could be more frequent and better - but I don't use the GUI anyways. Also don't use PoE Outdoors - It's Convenient BUT you have 40+ V on the Wire, the tiniest Amount of Moisture can destroy your Cam and Router Port.

I bought in to the Reolink ecosystem a few years ago with the Trackmix POE. The stable grew to include the NVR, and a total of 8 cams. Reasonably happy with the ecosystem.

Hardware is OK. But software is typically pretty bad as someone already mentions. AI recognition is a hit and miss. The RTSP stream is twitchy if you have plans to use it with third-party NVR recorders i.e. Frigate. It also has a really low resolution sub_stream for most of their cameras, which makes it almost unusable and is a pain to integrate with non-Reolink NVRs. Apart from that, the quality of the hardware is good vs price.

I've had someone recommend Reolink cameras to me. I'm too lazy to run wiring though. Really enjoyed your ninja moves! :)

Yeah I get it. Folks I know that ended up going the battery route usually end up saying later on, they wish they just ran a cable because it gets tiring to change/charge batteries. It's a tough call sometimes. Thanks! I could use some practice.
