you probably already know this but, the NPCs in new asagarth drop a lot of steel bars and they respawn insanely fast. seeing as how it's close to your base it would be more efficient to farm steel bars there instead of making it from scratch.

If you don't mind a little backsteat gaming there are some Tier IV Bearer spawns near your base, to the west, those would be the camp north-east and south-east from new asgarth, they have like 9900 hp and pack a punch (though they can't use 2 handers or spears properly).

training slaves is slightly faster with better food on the wheel. Also if you go to that Neutral NPC town in the far west of the desert it should always spawn a NAMED(level 4/elite or whatever u call em today) Taskmaster that is absolutely perfect for wheel :D the taskmaster used to have 100% spawn rate, might been reduced i dunno(he's in the Prison in the northwest part of that town)

one handed axe is WAY better mate. it does more dmg, has better combo's, and easily hits 2-3 targets with AoE slashes. Mace is only good for sunder de-buff against heavy armor npc's or players.
