so what's the life of a mousepad without an arm sleeve? (i have a "new" artisan type 99)
@oblivityofficialКүн бұрын
@@coolingchips1410 Usually artisan pads last somewhere between 6 to 12 months, but that also depends on which pad for instance their Hein lasts longer than their other pads, a lot of people reported that there Zero has gotten muddier after a years use, so we are assuming thats similar to the Type99 since both are control pads. However, Artisan themselves suggest changed pads every 3 months, which we believe is a bit extreme.

I feel like you missed out on monitor size. The optimal distance depends on the size of your display. An elbow's length wont work out for everyone.

My chair doesnt fit below the desk and its not because of height, but because of width.
@oblivityofficial23 сағат бұрын
If your chair isn't able to scoot in to give you the correct monitor distance length, then we suggest the following 2 solutions: 1 - Bring in the setup closer, if that doesn't allow you to have a good arm placement though move on to the 2nd solution. 2 - Add something to support your back on your chair, i.e a pillow, this will make your seating more comfortable aswell as it will bring you forward.

My personal problem with my setup is my table's height, that cannot be changed, it's one of those ikea with the drawers, it just feel weird when im at home gaming, unlike the table at my office. I see myself rising my chair a lot for it to feel similiar, but then comes the problem where my feet aren't touching the floor, wich people say is bad posture... Also this is a really well made video, you deserve more subs and views Oblivity, much love.
@oblivityofficial23 сағат бұрын
So one thing we can suggest is getting a footrest in this case, this will completely support your posture as well as give you a bit more freedom to adjust. There are options where the footrest is height adjustable.

hey man i am in a bit of a slump for the past month can you focus your next vid on that? i think people will be educated and helped if you make avid abt it thanks !
@greippuli9166Күн бұрын
Every single time I've been in a slump, it has been because of my mousepad getting very old and too slow. I keep my setup always the same and the mousepad is always the only thing that changes over time, as cloth pads get slower over time.
@CybearsCompКүн бұрын
@@greippuli9166 its been only like 2 months since a mousepad change so i don't think that's an issue but thanks :)
@greippuli916623 сағат бұрын
@@CybearsComp Yeah, but it has always been that for myself. Btw if you still haven't, I would really recommend buying kovaak's. Just playing it and trying different scenarios makes you understand what's hard for you really quick. Most of the time slumps actually aren't because of "lack in mechanics" though. It's almost entirely in lack of focus and bad decision making.

how does one using low sens strike a balance between keeping the keyboard/mouse close together and still having enough space to 180 to the left?
@oblivityofficial23 сағат бұрын
The key is to always strike a balance, juice the benefits. Start by placing your mouse and keyboard next to eachother like in the video, then incrementally move the keyboard away till it reaches a position where it doesnt intrude on your mouse movements. The idea is that the closer the peripherals are to eachother, the better.

Ive tried to put my keybord touching my mousepad but i cant because its uncomfortable to aim with my mouse closer to me, i like to put my mouse behind my monitor.
@oblivityofficial14 сағат бұрын
Introducing anything new will always be uncomfortable at the start, especially when you have used a specific setup for a long time.

for the keyboard placement thing, im using low sensitivity like about 62cm and when i turn 180 i tend hit my mouse right on keyboard which makes me really scared about the mouse having a crack what can i do to fix this problem?
@oblivityofficialКүн бұрын
We get you on this --- in this instance what you want to do, is use the starting point, as pointed in the video, where keyboard makes contact with the mousepad, find your comfortable tilt, and then further just a bit away until this doesn't happen, go by increments till you find a balance.
@greippuli9166Күн бұрын
This is why I have a 60% keyboard
@cikiface1311 сағат бұрын
So I was doing the keyboard one multiple times when I put my keyboard far from my mouse and I shot while moving and move while shooting and I asked myself multiple times, am I an autist(?), and here we are it’s not me but the neurons. (Which is me but) Now so I’ll lower the tv, sadly I play on one and Im broke to buy a better monitor or a keyboard, which has a w and d rubber broken under it. 😂
