I got a kick out of this video! I have a pair of Hooded Orioles, male and female, that visit my hummingbird feeder every morning, right outside my window. I’m in California. Beautiful birds. I hope you get your oriole photos next time!

Thank you for the nice comment i am jealous because we do not have the living jewels that fly in America never ceases to amaze me how a Humming Birds flys / hovers ..At times it felt like Mission Impossible 🤫😂 which might well be the title of the next video which i am just starting to edit ....😉

guys, great fun!👌 And with us this weekend, finally, I found a golden bee-eater. Something late this year, usually arrived in early May. But I didn’t see Golden Oriole here

Thank you ..i spotted our 1st Bee eaters on 26. 3 .23 but they do give themselves away ...where as the Golden Oriole's are very vocal its just actually seeing them thats the challenge

I feel your pain. I have the same issue with kingfishers. If I have my camera with me a flash of blue is all I see. If I am kayaking on the river with no camera I get great views of them sitting on a branch overhanging the river! Grrrr. I swear they tease us.

Having grown up near the Thames and fishing it most of my life Kingfishers were quite common and i did manage the "classic " shot of a kingfisher on my rods a few times but normally it was like you say just a blue streak going past There are a few birds here that frustrate me here as you hear them but never see them and the Golden Oriole is certainly one of them with a short window to hear / see them .....
