They are directly related. efficiency tells you how much electrical energy is converted into sound (given as a percentage), while sensitivity means how much sound is made from a given input (in decibels).

Hmm makes sense that efficiency and sensitivity is not the same but interlinked to each other. If we consider that the efficiency of the motor is the same between two drivers for the same large cone. Then the sensitivity difference between the two should be because of external dependencies (box, crossover) But if the motor differ as magnetic flux, gap, purity/material of copper/silver coil and crossection. Gives a woofer higher efficiency (less losses to heat among others) then the woofer with greater efficient motor structure will if of all other things is the same (basket , spider, cone..), then will get higher sensitivity.. so they're interlinked also of course in that aspect. So another conclusion of what Erin said is that we can NOT compare sensitivity numbers between speaker brands. And just between speaker models from the same brand. (When the different brands conduct their measurements differently).😢
