Julius Roberts is a first-generation farmer and restaurant trained chef, on a mission to live a self-sufficient life down on his family smallholding in Dorset, whilst also cultivating the finest ingredients, and cooking and eating the very best food.
These days Julius cooks every day with produce he has grown on his smallholding, including his home reared Hebridean Hogget, or foraged food from the surrounding woods, bringing his huge wealth of knowledge and ideas to even the simplest of ingredients. Julius’s food sings with flavour and fun; it is also accessible, family fare.
Still on a journey with his farm, where he also rears chickens and goats, alongside his Hogget, Julius learns as he goes - and always with the greatest amount of respect for the countryside and the people who live in it.
