Surprising thing about that was how measured the priest and the nun were. They didn't condemn LGBT people and were respectful to Manahan's and Curb's account. Its not in the clip but Sr Maura (nun in purple) did state that clergy didn't leave their sexuality as the door when they entered religious life.

The faith is given to us by Jesus and passed down to us from the apostles and it's those teachings that we are supposed to follow not the priests. The Pope, priests and nuns are just a part of the mystical body of Christ just like the rest of us baptised Catholics are and the bad priests and religious will have to answer to God for their sins just like the rest of us will. If you're playing a game of tennis with someone who is playing by their own made up rules but you stick to the proper rules, who's gonna win the game? In Jesus' day he told the people not to do as the religious leaders do but do as they say...he said that because they were teaching the truth but living as hypocrites and not faithful to the faith that they were preaching. I have to say, I'm only watching this now, but feck, that priest should be the calibre of many priests, he'd certainly set a standard! Now, the Nun did say some quite coherent things, I don't understand about the whole being "protected" jargon, but recognising the sexuality of nuns should be praised. Looking at Ireland now though, there seems to be a pivot backwards and there isn't such an understanding in the church today. Please reply if I'm mistaken!

There's an indolence in Ireland about everything. Nothing is a problem,issue or dilemma. Nobody disagrees about anything except homelessness,cost of living and health service. Anything else isn't an issue.For LGBT Ireland is ideal as nobody cares now. So things that people 'fight for' or 'rebel against' are just positions or opinions. Ireland's society is a mess so cops,health,homes and money are much more of a concern and the RTE national media don't confront them.
