Omg! My friend hosts a Disney/theme park podcast and his Disneyland-based cohost LOVES the breakfast chimichanga! I’ve heard her rave about it many times, but she does emphasize that you need to get there EARLY to get one! I would love to see a review from you guys after hearing about it for so long!

If you all drive through San Antonio TX on your way out do yourself a favor and eat at the Alamo Cafe, it is very approachable Tex Mex with amazing tortillas and there is a location right off IH 10.

We were lucky enough to eat at Carnation Cafe the first day it reopened! Honestly, we were so disappointed 😢 They got rid of the majority of the original menu including Oscar’s potatoes. It felt like such a disservice to him. Plus that were the best thing on the menu in my opinion.

Napolini Pizzeria at Downtown Disney is very good. You create your own wood-fired pizza, like Chipotle or Subway, so you know you are going to get exactly what you want.

San Diego actually has so many animals that they operate two zoos. There is the main zoo in Balboa Park and a safari park in the suburb of Escondido. The main zoo is way more crowded. But it is easier to see animals because the viewing areas are closer. The safari park is basically Animal Kingdom (savanna, elaborate landscaping) without the rides. The nice thing about the safari park is you can pair it with a visit to the Stone Brewery nearby. Some of the beers and menu items are exclusive to that location.

I'm heading to Star Wars Celebration and going early to spend some time in DL. I cringe that I have to buy a park pass (WDW AP) and no discount, but looking forward to the differences. I appreciate hearing all the notes here and I'm so excited for Main Street Electrical Parade! Disappointed Pirates will be closed, along with Blue Bayou too. Thinking of doing the Plaza lunch deal to get good seats for the parade because I love taking pictures. I barely remember my only visit out there (went after celebration-- no, bad idea!) so as a Disney geek, I'm excited to experience it all again.

Watched while I was cooking dinner - DL = fave topic ever. I’ll be there for 3 days toward end of April . Can’t wait to see World of Color again. Lamplight Lounge never disappoints. Agree with Ryno about the bao at Tropical Hideaway. Don’t forget the cold brew at DB7. I haven’t had the horchata at the parks, but have only heard good things fm my friends. You’re right - even with lists, which I always make, there never seems to be enough time. I always get that cold brew though. Re: outside the park, we used to make a point to go to Pokinometry, too. The poke bowl at the Grand outside pool bar is good - more expensive, but it’s legit.. Went to Roscoe’s for the first time and was not as spectacular as I’d hoped. Maybe off night? Question- have either of you (or any of you) been to Joe’s Italian Ice? I’ve heard good things, but haven’t been. I’m going to give it a go in April. HAVE FUN! Nothing I like better than hearing you all excited about an upcoming trip. Oh - and I’ve heard of the bkfast chimichangas too, but haven’t tried. #onthelist

I had the cauliflower burger when I was in Disneyland in 2019! I remember enjoying it, I think it had a nice spicy sauce but I think I recall the bun maybe getting a bit soggy? I was really cold at the time because I had gotten absolutely soaked on Splash Mountain, and it was an early May evening, so I think it was a bit difficult to enjoy because I was shivering! But I definitely recommend trying it since Ryno likes to explore those veg options!

We went to Disney land to switch up our trips from DisneyWorld 12 years ago. I would never go back any time soon due to the fact that our brand new digital camera being was stolen from our stroller by a bathroom while I as standing with it. The parks are not the same either, I definitely prefer Disney world and being able to go to Epcot and animal kingdom.
