A better hack for parchment in a tin, fold the parchment in half 4 times, put the point in the center of the tin and cut the excess. When you unfold it, the parchment will fit the bottom of the tin, near perfectly.

I bet the lemons would hold onto a lot more juice if they were roasted cut side up! Maybe in a muffin/cupcake tin, to keep them from rolling around? And frying pieces of rice paper the same way makes something like chips/crisps!

Two tips: you can grill lemons for lemonade as well, and the sushi back is easier in a silicone or other flexible ice tray. No wasted plastic and easier to remove.

The fried vermicelli is a favourite dish in some parts of China, Hong Kong and South East Asia. Just look up Ying Yang noodles. It's stirfried flat rice noodles and crispy fried rice vermicelli doused in an egg gravy. My favourite childhood dish.

My sisters and I used to roast marshmallows over a burner of the stove. If you touch it to the burner, it will catch fire and then you get that char you love so much. It is also very much easier to clean up if it drops onto the burner.

Best way to line cake tin. Grease the tin, add some flour and shake round the tin so it sticks to the butter. No need to bother with parchment paper again

If you're going to do lemonade with the whole lemon, if you slice it thin (on a mandolin ideally) and let it sit with the sugar covered for a full day, a lot of the bitterness will go away. We do this for a type of lemon pie where you use everything but the pips and it's never bitter.

Probably ate so many of them in the 1970's that it wasn't good for me. We loved Vesta dried ingredient meals, and must have eaten literally tons of the things. To a small kid (me at the time), those expanding noodles were actual magic.

I was a professional pastry chef, the parchment scrunching method is great for blind baking tart cases, I tend to use the fold and trim method where you fold it in to quarters and in half again put the point into the centre of the tin and trim the edge! Perfect every time!

For baking paper in the cake tin, I always fold it in half, then in half the other way, then in a triangle and I keep halving the triangle until it’s quite thin and then cut it roughly half the length of the tin and if you keep the point the same the whole time it makes a circle

When I made roasted lemonade before, I roasted the lemons in the same pan that I used to make the simple syrup in. That way, none of the juice or oils were lost. Awesome way to make lemonade!

My air fryer has a broil setting so I've used it to brown marshmallows. (It takes 2.5 minutes at 500°F.)
