I have never had a professional lesson & am just your every day chap attempting recipes to inspire you guys to try too. My Wife Becky (aka Mrs Barry) now joins in on the channel too, we upload 2 recipe videos per week, but some fun is had too on Sunday when it is our Funday where anything goes....including giant foods, mini foods, taste testing foods sent from around the World, kitchen gadget testing and many more. To get the honey runny again just pop it into the microwave for 10 second intervals until completely melted.So much quicker and easier than leaving it in hot water for 20 minutes. Works a treat for golden syrup too!

I had to chop up 3 huge red onions yesterday and I tried the bread hack!!! It didn't work so well for me, but the hubby and I had a nice laugh. So far the only solution that works 100% is swimming goggles. I keep a pair in my kitchen now just for chopping onions! Thanks for the fun Mr. and Mrs. Barry!!!

I use an ice cream scoop when I prepare spaghetti squash and it works a charm. It gets the gunk right out and it's ready for the oven! Great hack!

For the frothed milk one it helps if you heat your milk first shake it then microwave it again to set the bubbles. Another hack for onion is spraying you knife and cutting board with white vinegar.

Because of a slight handicap I have to sit on a kitchen stool to do my kitchen work - and I've found that when sitting on the stool and chopping onions, my head is not directly over the onion, but slightly to the front and lower than most people hold their head when chopping onions. Keeping your head from being right over the onion you won't cry - ever.

For the onion, chop it in half and quckly wash both exposed halves in the middle, making sure the water gets in between the layers. Works every time.

That doesn't work that well, you're best off wearing swimming goggles, they create a seal which prevents the onion juice from reaching your eyes.

It's not supposed to go in for 1 minute. Your supposed to do 10-15 second intervals until the skin is soft but not hot enough to burn

For no-tears onions, get a wooden match and hold it by the base in your lips/teeth like a dangling cigarette. When you finish with the onions, just put the match back in the box. I've done this for over 40 years and it works every time. Cheers!

For the onion, what i figured out while i was working at Subway was chewing a piece of gum with your mouth opening and not breathing thru your nose. The fumes or vapors or whatever it is, gets absorbed in the gum. It makes the gum taste nasty so youll need to spit ut out after you're done cutting up the onion, but it works very well. For me atleast. Of course everyones different and not all hacks work on every single person, but the gum one had absolutely saved me every day when i had to do prep work in the kitchen. Without the gum id be out of commission for atleast 10 minutes to flush my face and my eyes.

A hack that i use all the time is peeling pumpkins with a peeler. Just like a carrot or a potato and it is just as easy as as well. Maby you could try that in your next hack video. love u guys

We don't have a microwave so for honey I just leave it in a warmed sauce pan of water and leave the heat on low. That way it doesn't cool down too quickly and the residual heat will melt any honey towards the lid!

This will make you look ridiculous but it does work if you want to stop your eyes watering: in between slicing the onion, turn your head to the side and take a deep breath. Face the front again and slowly exhale so you're blowing the onion fumes away from you. it takes longer to chop the onion but it always works for me!

Best way to make frothy milk is to pour some milk into a cup and heat it up in the microwave, once hot, put it into a coffee press and use the press to froth it up, take out the press and tap the milk on the bench to get rid of the large bubbles and pour into the coffee

For the onion hack, you should try and water your fingers and then start cutting the onion with wet hands. No more teary eyes! Has been working for me.

Another way to re-liquefy crystallised honey is to pop the top open and put it in the microwave for five to ten second bursts (letting it cool down completely between bursts or you will melt the bottle)
