I’m from Ottawa, and Ontario=Raptors obviously, if you forget the fact the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs have a sort of weird but tense rivalry. But I’d love to see the Grizzlies come back to Vancouver. Memphis, where the hell is that? Nashville seemed like a better option if they wanted to move to Tennessee.

Knicks fan here. I remember the Grizzlies in Vancouver quite well... I got into the NBA in 97, I was about 9. tbh they didn't grab my attention until the Steve Francis situation... But Bibby, Abdur-Rahim, Big Country & Michael Dickerson! I even had the 95 Upper Deck Kevin Pritchard "1st pick" basketball card with him wearing that white Grizzlies cap! I actually met George Lynch walking in NYC with my dad when I was about 10... he was with his son just chillin. No one was bothering him at all... my dad told me to go over and say hello He was super polite, I remember he shook my hand & I told him that I had his UD Grizzlies card hahaha 😂 I wasn't even a fan of his, or Vancouver really, but I remember I was so excited I ran back to my dad "I met a REAL NBA player!" 😆 it's crazy, that 5 minute interaction and his advice to always work hard and do well in school had enough of an impact, that I still remember it like yesterday, 25 years later.. wow

Miss the team every day. Used to have Jam Packs and went to a lot games.. I was there for the Chris King game winning putback at the buzzer of the first game. Miss the team and my main man Pete Chilcutt..

Oh man this is so awesome ! I loved the Grizzlies. My favourite memory was when Grizz played Lakers one year. ( I believe it was 98 or 99 maybe..... Can't quite remember. But One memory I'll always remember is seeing Kobe Bryant play in Vancouver. My favourite sports memory ever. Snoop Dogg was in the stands and he walked down to the players bench and was taking pictures, Kobe went up and did a HUGE SLAM and Snoop was taking a photo, Kobe ran up and gave a high five to Snoop ! Craziest sports memory ever for me :)

I say Seattle and Vancouver, BC should be the 31st and 32nd NBA teams for expansion. Four Divisions, Eight teams per division. Western Conference Pacific Division: VAN, SEA, POR, GSW, SAC, LAC, LAL and PHX Midwest Division: UTAH, DEN, MIN, OKC, DAL, HOU, SAS and NOP Eastern Conference Central Division: MIL, CHI, IND, MEMP, DET, CLE, ATL and CHAR Atlantic Division: TOR, BOS, NYK, BRK, PHI, WSH, ORL and MIA If Vancouver doesn't get an NBA franchise, then give them a G-League one for Seattle's NBA team.

As a native Memphian, i love Vancouver!! I visited there when i was in the US Navy. My ship made a port visit there in AUG 1987(before the Grizzlies). Nice city and friendly people. Went to Seattle in AUG,1988 and was supposed to go to VAN and Victoria but missed the last damn ferry😠🤬. We pulled out the next morning.

You'll need someone from Canada to own the team. Most team owners are American and it's hard to maintain a team from there with our weak currency. We also would need fan support, something the og Grizzlies did not get much of.

Vancouver was a cool ass team. Same as my Raptors. It don't matter about winning it all really, just having a team with an electric fanbase is a lot of fun. Keeping your team takes deep commitment from the fans to support though.

I loved the grizzlies the problem is people in Vancouver just don't care enough. When I watched the preseason raptors game last year I had so much fun but most of the fans were excited at the beginning then by the 4th quarter were barely paying attention and some people had left by half time (even though the game was close) there's just no passion in this city

You are completely false with zero facts. Grizzlies average attendance was 15,750 over the 6 years for a horrendous basketball team. Imagine if they were a 500. or made the playoffs. No passion for a preseason game? Give me a break. Everyone and their mama knows that in preseason basketball the 3rd and 4th stringers are playing just to make the roster.

Born and raised in Vancouver, grew up with the grizzlies. This team was atrocious... Lee Mayberrys summer camp was kind of a scam and GM place was already selling beers at 5 bucks a pop in the 90s. If you're a grizzlies "fan" I wanna know what team were you watching?

it was 19 years ago bud. Times change, people change and the success of the Raptors has led to an all time high of Canadian NBA fans. Toronto is great and all but it’s so different from the West. We don’t even have a Seattle team to default to anymore. A Vancouver NBA franchise would be far more profitable than some other organizations in the league. Memphis doesn’t even have a native Grizzly population smh.
