hes pretty much the reason why this city lost its team ironic enough...he was suppose to carry them...what a bad pick..smdh...he deserves all 308 l's on his resume...they chose him over michael finley….let that sink in...its like if the raptors after trading away damon drafted the bum big man robert traylor r.i.p instead of jamison and then couldn't trade for vince ...it would of set the franchise back and maybe they lose their team...imagine a finley rahim bibby trio in 2001?..they would of been really good for years...maybe the rapts leave instead since its a dumpster fire with no star

This is Fantastic! I’m from Oklahoma and I’ve been a pretty serious NBA fan for the most of my life. Oklahoma is very rural for the most part. I always looked up to Bryant . I always thought of him as someone who did the impossible and made it out. I like how Notable Former NBA players (Shaq) always give Bryant credit. He was good and gave players as good as him problems. It makes me sad that retirement came early for him, but he played his heart out every game. Long Live Big Country!

@@mikemontana1990A few reasons would be that other cities (especially Seattle) deserve it way more and it sucks for Vancouver that they happen to be located so close. They just didn't have a strong enough fan base the first time to support a team. Both Vancouver and Toronto are big enough to support a team but because hockey is so much more popular in Canada only a large city like Toronto can support a team. Then I was like oh, must be a separate camera person choreographed to film that exact moment. That's really heartwarming how you gave those items to the museum. Actually #8 Michael Dickerson of the Grizzlies starting 5 also made the transition from Vancouver to Memphis but also had a short stint due to injury.

Great story on both sides Kat. I loved watching it. Makes me appreciate the Raptors even more. It was great to see and be inspired by yourself and BIG Country. Thanks for your effort and making the donation to the museum.

Thank you, this was beautiful & well done. I liked how it told two stories of life with basketball, hers & his. It'd good to see that Reeves has moved on and is content in life, and it was very awesome of her to donate her gifts from him to the BC HoF.

I enjoyed this film! My freshman year at OSU was Big Country's senior year. I remember walking into the lobby of Ag Hall one morning on my way to class, and there he was standing by the elevators. (At his height, he was impossible to miss!) It looks like he is happy back in his home town, which is good to see.

This film documentary deserves the recognition, it deserves an award. If they give out Honoreree degrees, they should give Honoreree HOF induction to Bryant Reeves. Nice should be awarded. Nice has a place.

Wow that was AWESOME ! I'm a Kings fan and can appreciate loving a team who isn't the winningest. Also almost losing the team. Big Country seems like a great guy. Cool you gotta meet your idol and he was nice and kind to you

The Vancouver Grizz meant a lot to me as a BC kid because, unlike my other sports favourites (Canucks, Blue Jays/Expos, Lions, Cincy Bengals), I was able to get in on the ground floor of their existence. This is a terrific doc (Grizzlies fan or not) that makes me nostalgic, and it's so nice to see Country in such a great place post-basketball. Looking forward to 'The Grizzlie Truth' in a couple of weeks at VIFF.

As a 35 year old from a diehard Oklahoma State family I can tell you what I remember of Big Country's time at OSU. His first 3 years he was big, slow, and he couldn't jump or shoot. His Senior year he improved greatly and took OSU to the Final Four in 1995.

Thank you for telling this story. When I was a kid, I never thought much of Big Country, but getting to know him now, I not only respect what he accomplished, but more the man he is today. It's nice to see that not all ex-NBAers have blown all their money and are right back where they started, but instead still working hard at something. Mad respect.
