Shame a lot of people live their hole life's and never experience that. I grew up and still along the West fork White River in Indiana. Seen many of big flatheads lock up like a snag. 53 lb biggest I've landed. Helped a city fella get a 68 lb up on the bank one night.He had that just got a million dollars look. His pic hung in our local bait shop for years the owner said nobody brought in bigger. Thanks for taking us along that was killer.

I have nothing against keeping fish, but like others have said I was so glad to see ya release that big ol fish. It takes a long time for a cat to get that big and the smaller ones eat better anyhow. The Missouri Dept of Conservation here in my state had to change the regulations on the big cats being taken from the legendary Osage river and her lakes because them giant cats weren’t near as plentiful as they once were.

@happydays72266 жыл бұрын
@@TyPigPatrol I was going to tell you my story about a Murray Cod but wasn't sure if you would know the fish! I was fishing with a mate on yabbies from the bank in a fresh water river. We were there all night with no luck and I eventually feel asleep. It was early hours of the morning, I woke and my mate had let most of the yabbies go and I was very dissappointed to say the least!@##$%!!! As we had not even had a bite we were planning to go home mid morning. We had a few yabbies left so I threw some out and some time later my mate yells, "GET YOUR ROD" as Id been mucking around, anyway pulled in a 65cm cod!!!!!!!!!! Man that was the best EVER for me!!! Australian rivers and lakes have been stocked well with fish and I have a boat/motor and lots of camping gear so if you ever visit Australia come and stay at my place for free, there is a ton of fresh water close by and the ocean/sea water is only 1 1/2 hrs drive from my place!!! "True that", a fish that old and battle scared deserves to be honored by being released. Thankfully it was not caught by someone that needed it for their survival, at least not that time.

that is a good way of looking at it. A fish that has survived that many floods deserves to stay alive!

I would never eat anything that big. They build up toxins.
