We took the guts out of my John Deere 9610 combine.

I am a 4th generation farmer in Northeast South Dakota where I own and operate a grain farm and raise beef cattle. Have 2 x 7720"s in Southern Sask that do small acres. Interesting how similar the mechanical design is other than the size. 9600 series was one of Deere's best. Enjoyed the detail you show about the repairs. I dont like it whenaoeone just snaps their fingers and it is magically repaired!

Laying plywood across the auger bed makes it so much easier

Just an observation very difficult job but I would chock up the machine with blocks while the wheel is off, never trust a jack.

simple cherry picker is all one guy needs to pull that concave out.

@@farmingwithfamily8717 I bought one from local farm supply store just for this. makes it way safer. can place it back so easily that you don't have to crawl over the straw walkers to hook up the beater grate.
