I have been watching your channel for a LONG time. Your channel popped up on my feed, and, I loved it so much, that I went to your first video and binge watched up until this point. Haha. I am almost caught up to your newest one! I absolutely love your vibe, as well as your relationship with your whole family. You are very blessed to have so many people you are close to. Your family seems lovely, kind, and, most importantly, loving. I am sure your friends are all of those things as well. You send such positivity out into this world and I am trying to absorb it into myself. It has been a joy to watch you. PS. No, I do not just watch KZbin all day. Haha! I actually do not watch much at all, but, your channel brightens my day, so, I will watch until I am caught up!

From one Emily to another, wishing you all the best.

What an absolute blessing your parents are! Not only did they put up all of the money to buy the house, but they put in all of that work to make it to your liking.
@EmilyGarbe7 ай бұрын
They are such a blessing! I should have mentioned it in the video but they hope to move here to retire once my husband finishes residency and provided we stay local. So I get a lot of say into the picking, but they get the final say and we’ve definitely not always agreed haha but teaches me humility ❤️

A thought about your green tub and sink…what if you kept them and embraced an MCM Florida-inspired tropical theme? Using dark jungle-type wallpaper (but not anywhere near the tub/shower)? Fun for the boys, but in an elevated way that also works for adults? Unless you want to carry the neutral color pattern through the house. Your optimistic and fun videos make me feel creative. But it’s also fun because it’s not my house!!
@EmilyGarbe7 ай бұрын
Oh that sounds so retro! I can see it 😅 if it was just cosmetic stuff that needed to be redone in there that’s probably the route I would take, but at this point I don’t want to put effort into projects that won’t last for many more years or increase the home value. My parents have the final say, as I didn’t mention it (should have!) but they will be likely retiring here or using this as an investment property when we move out

What are journey you’ve had and will continue later. The work ethic of your parents and you has been fantastic to watch. Love the fact that you discussed that at the end of the video with your mother and the role you have played with them and the role the boys are playing with all of you. I loved hearing that the bones of the house were great and what attracted your parents to this home. We enjoyed the home for 38 years . We love the home because of the traffic pattern. It was so conducive to entertaining and getting large and small crowds of family and friends together We love watching the transformation and seeing the joy that your family brings and will continue to bring to this house that is becoming a home, thank you for sharing the journey. I as so hoping you would watch this one! 🥰 I could not agree more about the traffic pattern. We’ve noticed it’s not overwhelming with noise level with our gatherings with lots of kids because of the separate spaces. I thought I could only love full open concept, but this house is perfect! Thank you for following along on here! And I’m going to call you before this baby arrives so we can finally show you in person!

Hi Emily, I started following you just a few months ago. I just started watching some thrift videos and you showed up on my feed . I just found you to be so sweet, have such a nice laugh, and just be such a beautiful person inside and out. Gosh , your mom and dad are such hard workers. I lost my mom when she was just forty nine. For years and years I envied people who still had theirs. Anyhow, it was nice to see your mom sitting down. Your house makeover is just wonderful. My husband and I inherited a house that his grandmothers but after her passing was owned by his uncle. He died very unexpectedly but had willed it to us. I remembered my sister saying you will never be able to live in that house. Your carpet took me back to those early days. It really was a mess everywhere. It was so much work, but I remember it as some of the best times...us working together and my mother in law working with us and putting some of her money in to help us. Ours is a forties home and I have to say I love it so much, but it is still a work in progress. Our kitchen floor is painted blue. We dont have a modern kitchen. We do have beautiful wood floors . You so deserve to take a break and just enjoy your baby's arrival. Take care and will see you whenever you post .❤❤❤❤❤ Now, will you rent to own? I do agree with redoing the rock wall to givebitva brighter lighter finish. You all have so much to be proud of. We live on five acres and sometimes when the weather gets pretty outdoor chores come first. Incan not wait for your new little baby boy to be in gour videos. Take care Emily.

Thank you so much Rita 🥰 I am so very blessed to have both my parents support so so much! Your 1940s home sounds beautiful. I think the best homes are ones that are work in progress. Just like our hearts, they are not ever really “done” 🙏🏻 I should have mentioned it in the video, but my parents plan to either move here or use it as an investment property after my husband graduates residency in 2.5 more years. We plan to settle in the area, but exactly where will depend on where Dominick gets a job. That’s why they get the final say on all the big decisions. And trust me, there’s been disagreements haha 💕

Awesome Video!!! It brought back memories of my father and his "holiday projects" for the week of Thankgiving & Christmas!!! He would renovate our kitchen with long island with eight stools or replace flooring in the bedrooms!!! It's great that your sons are watching you & your family create a new renovated home for to live. They will see the importance of "working" on a project until the completion.
