Awesome!! There's nothing like sweat equity. In 1973, we bought a run-down trailer, fixed it, sold, bought an old house, fixed it, and sold it. We did that more than once. 😉 We retired to a 6 bedroom brick home in the mountains. More young people need to build a life instead of going into massive debt, buying a sparkling new beautiful house. Debt ruins more marriages than sweat ever did. Hard work, learning to do things yourself is priceless. Go build a life.❤

You two absolutely should start a business where you refurbish mobile homes and RVs !!! This home is absolutely stunning and your husband is phenomenally talented at building,! His workmanship is just fantastic and you have a great eye for decorating, color choices, in judging spatial relationships and how each object fits into the bigger picture of the room. You could use this video as an advertisement for your business . Just let me add, I want this kitchen! It's absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking and you two should be so incredibly proud of yourselves. I can't get over the finished product in comparison to the money that you actually spent .

I also want to tap a well and get a 5000 gallon rain water collector along with a solar panel setup so I don't have to rely on companies or municipal governments providing them for me at a cost.

I grew up in a trailer and lived in them most of my adult life. The one I grew up in is now a house and you would never know that it was a trailer first if you didn't know. My Dad could build a house from the ground up so he built a foundation around the trailer and then tied the 2 together. The only place you could tell is if you crawled under the house, you would see the original frame of the trailer. My parents didn't have the money up front and did projects as they got the money. You and your husband did an amazing job on transforming your home!!

God bless your determination and hard work! In 2015 I bought a wreck of a prairie ranch house; 864 sq. ft. 2 bedroom one bath with an attached 624 sq. ft. garage/shop on a 1/3 acre with a four car cement driveway. I paid $11,000, it was in poor shape having endured a 6 year period of vacancy. I’m in it for about $58,000 now - and people in my small West Texas city have been driving by to see for themselves why people are talking about my house. I changed the roof line, and added a high gabled 8’ x 23’ post and beam front porch that completely transformed the way my house looks. I’ve still got a lot of work to do, this summer I’m changing out all the old and highly damaged ceiling drywall for complete tongue and groove pine ceilings throughout the entire house. I’m in my ‘60’s and hope to complete the renovation in the next few years before I retire.

I've done ho me remodeling, kitchens, baths and all. It's a hair pulling task to take on. My former home was the house that Jack built and everything needed replacement, including the fireplace chimney and heating chimney, windows, doors, appliances, wall repair, gardening, electric and plumbing. I was in the home 17 years and it was an ongoing project through those years. When I left, all it needed was the driveway to be repaved. I have no idea how much it cost, but my best guess was $150,000. It is wonderful to see it finished for 6 months, before I had to move. I didn't get close to what I put into it, but my children saw that even a wreck like what we had, could turn out to be the most beautiful house on the block. You've done a fantastic job, and your husband is an artist in his craft. I love the window in the hall. Mobile home halls are dreadful. I've never lived in one, but have been in a few. You've turned it around on a budget. God bless you both in your lovely new home.

My spouse and I have been looking for a retirement home out in the country, but I'd rejected a number of properties because they had older model mobile homes on them that were so dated! My problem with mobile homes is that they absolutely look like mobile homes inside and outside. But if we could remodel a mobile home to look like this inside, I would go for it. Thanks for including the pricing--that can help us budget. I love the design as well---who designed this? If it was you, kudos--it has the perfect farmhouse esthetic. It's bright, it's clean and while updated and modern, still feels homey. Congratulations. Thanks for sharing this. I have all kinds of ideas swirling around in my head.

I'm gonna have to borrow that husband of yours! Fancy a holiday in England? 😁 Wow! This is literally Heaven on Earth!!! It's like you took everything I love, extracted it from my brain, and placed it in your home! The colours are literally perfect! I love white interiors paired with natural light wood tones. That kitchen is stunning. I'm normally not a fan of islands, but that one is a work of art, the whole kitchen area is beautiful. The guest bathroom is such a transformation. That window makes such a difference in there. When I watch walkthroughs of American mobile homes, I always say to myself "what's up with their windows over there?" 😂. They're typically small and many aren't functional. I've never had a window that doesn't open. Well, I've had windows that are like four panes of glass, and maybe the top two open but not the bottom, or vice versa. But I've never known a window frame, where none of it opened. That hallway window took that tiny area, from mobile home to newly built house. I know it doesn't open, but it makes it so much more classy looking. And those bay windows in the bedroom are beautiful too. They look so elegant with the way he added all the trims and windowsills throughout. Love that coat and shoe cubby too, another tiny section of space that makes a big impact. I always feel that mobile homes are long thin tubes, very closed in, dark, almost like being in a freight train carriage, but you've opened this thing up so much that the inside looks like a real house interior. It's truly stunning, and NOT just because it's such a drastic improvement! But because the workmanship, colours, style design, use of space, airy feeling and the quality of the end result is just beautiful. It looks so classy, very elegant and stylish. I love it all. I can't wait to see more! I'm so glad I clicked on this video. You have a lovely lovely home, well done! 😘 Now then, about borrowing this husband of yours....... 😜

I live in a 16x80 vaulted ceiling 1991 mobile home. It is on 5 acres. I was 61 when I bought it, paid cash after downsizing. It was a dump! I left a finished home that I updated and modernized cabin in the mountains. At first I thought what in the hell have I done. 4 yrs later....after doing updates, paint, wood blinds, painting cabinets, ceilings and putting in new light fixtures and a nice red wood burning stove with wooden blinds on windows. HOME. I still have to do the flooring and two cabin style ceiling fans and it will be complete. I was lucky, the home had new vinyl siding on it when I bought it but the shutters were white with mold on. I scrubbed them and painted them green and ohhhh my home looks brand new on the outside. No mortgage, just doing a little at a time. I also fenced in one acre of land for my chickens and turkeys and and acre and a half for the home and garden and my little dogs to run separate from the chickens and turkeys. Did I mention I am an almost 67 yr old female and did the fencing myself? Lol. As an after note: My family ridiculed me for my purchase and leaving a beautiful home in the N. Ga mountains. They aren't ridiculing me anymore. YOUR home is AMAZING!!!! What a team you two are. Your husband is a very very hard worker. If you are the designer ohhh my gosh...off the charts beautiful. But what you and your husband have done with this mobile home is amazing. It looks as if it's a brand new mobile home. I just moved into my brothers 1969 1200sf mobile home after his passing, and it also needed a lot of work, but wasn't a total remodel. The contractor did a great job, and Temu helped me to decorate it. Otherwise I'd still be working on it. I did buy a couple of things from Amazon and Lowes such as my bed, ceiling fans, refrigerator, linen storage chest, electric fireplace cabinet, etc., but most everything else came from Temu. I'm very happy with how it all turned out also.

My late husband spent his working life after Vietnam in the mobile home business from set up in the North Georgia Mountains to a 1000 unit Manufactured Home community near Atlanta, where he was the Maintenance Manager. I've seen some refurbished homes in that time, but this is a great job and such a labor of love. You really could do this as a business with people choosing a different life, scaling down, and homesteading. And yes, glory to God, and thank you for sharing this. Be blessed.

Oh my goodness! My family owns a small Mobile Home park (55 spaces) and we own several homes, I know how they CAN be especially when we've had tenants but I also know the potential in these homes, oh my gosh, you guys have WOWED me. (Made me want to work on my stuff a little more too) This is STUNNING! God has blessed you guys with some AMAZING talent!! Stunning work my friends! Thank you for the inspiration!!! Be blessed in Jesus Name.

I am absolutely blown away with this remodel!!! Your taste in decorating is magnificent!!! Colors, style, everything!!! My only concern would be all of the mold that I saw seemingly everywhere. Your husband is SO talented. I subscribed and can't wait to see the rest of what you have done!!! HUGGS!!!

I'm in the process of purchasing an old construction job site trailer with the plan to renovate it. You all have inspired me so much. As a single woman, there's only so much I can do alone, but you've given me a lot of great insight on how to get started and hire contractors when needed. I'm taking a tiny home-building class in May, so that will be helpful. You all should consider teaching others how to remodel a trailer, for a fee of course. Best wishes as you continue making upgrades and expanding!

The labor is always 2/3 to 3/4 of the total cost of renovating, so your labors were that equivalent. I burned out on renovating dilapitated mobile homes because too many people aren't even familiar with the adage: "A stitch in time saves nine". Every mobile home renovation project I embarked on started with shut off valves at the faucets and plumbing outlets, so I could continue to have running water at other locations while repairing rotted floors from plumbing leaks.

Totally amazing! What a beautiful job you did! Just so tasteful! Certainly you could not buy this today! Might have taken you a few years! But your taste was exquisite! And you could not buy this today! You used quality materials and were able to wait and get stuff at fantastic prices! Have not seen any new ones that has the quality and great looks of yours! ENJOY!

Your husband is so much like mine when it comes to talent. My husband remodeled my mom's 1996 double wide that she left to me. Everyone says it looks like a brand new modular home. The work he does for us and others, I'm still amazed by his pure skills. He's a humble man, I hit the lottery with him and it look like you did too...😂❤

I do quite a bit of home improvement and have seen the work of many carpenters but your husband is a rock star second to none. Your home beats out a lot of "fancy" high dollar homes I've seen that people had to give an arm and leg for and will never manage to pay for. My hats off to you.

Good lord this is amazing.. God, please send me a man like Yadel LOL... I take care of my mom and we lost our 5 bedroom 4 bath house and were forced to buy this rundown mobile home. spent $40k on it and it's awful. they lied so much about the condition. we paid a man $10k to fix the floors and repaint it... The dude pulled up the carpet laid down cheap laminate and didn't bother to fix the flooring underneath. The floors are uneven and he put laminate in my mom's bathroom when we asked for tile and shes on home hospice and her bathroom is too slippery now. I asked him to check the kitchen floor he said it was fine but it wasn't... tiles started cracking now it's caving in cuz of water damage.. yesterday we spent $705 we didn't have to fix 2 cracked valves under the kitchen sink cuz they busted everywhere. I am so overwhelmed. With my mom on home hospice and my daughter about to turn 7 I'm unable to work cuz they are full-time care. Its so overwhelming.. I wish I had this type of skill and the tools cuz right now I dunno what to do. I hope every day you feel the extent of your blessings. Cuz you truly are blessed

Reach out to churches. Sometimes, they have people who know how to fix things of the things you need fixed, and they will do the work voluntarily.

Just ran across your video. I lived in Jax and surrounding area almost 20 years. Still have family there. My question for you is how do feel living in a mobile home with hurricanes and tornadoes? That has been what has stopped me. Your remodel is amazing. Wish I had a man that could do this type of work
