Bărsana Monastery is from heavens! It is active, it is for womens, the only men who is aloud have a little cabin and leave on the higher ground it's the priest because by tradition only a men can do the church rituals. They also have guest rooms and you could have stayed there for the night if you wanted to. I was there for first time 20 something years ago and I've been again this year and it's a big change... it was still as beautiful as now yet had just a church and the woman's house. Now has a museum and other buildings. Beautiful, amazing place, everybody who go in that area should see it. You guys should not miss it!

I’m really glad that we didn’t miss it. This was definitely in the top five best monasteries we saw. Thank you for the added information as we were just driving through we didn’t have much time to learn about The monastery.

hello can you help with our query - how can we get from Baia Mare to Lasi - it says there is a bus - but then we cannot find any further information - just wondered if you might know - many thanks

We rented a car in Romania. Sorry l cannot help you with that. Idk about the busses. Check the google maps but they probably tell you to take the train to Iași
