Something I think you should also consider: London has very hard water. I don't know what your home water hardness is, but I live in London, and something I've noticed is that the hard water here always dries out my hair, and makes it look dull and dead. You can buy filtering shower heads, but in hotels, I guess you can't really swap out the heads lmao

Can use a bottle of Evian or similar. Have you tried ACV rinse?

​@@jenniferjen5422But if you had to wash out shampoo and conditioner with Evian, you'd need several gallons of it. And if you just finished with filtered water, you wouldn't be removing the mineral build up bc you'd need shampoo to get that out.

Uk curly here, loved this video. A tip with the boots curl cream, less is more and proper emulsify it between your hands till it turns into a thick creamy coating all over your hsnds abd then smooth it down your hair. It works way way better!

UK curly girl here, I loved this video because I've used almost all of the products in this video at some point in my life 😅. It's true that we've always had a much smaller selection of highstreet products to choose from. It's getting better but still a long way to go in terms of pricing being on the same level as straight hair products. I ended up switching to higher end, online products a year ago because I had so many bottles of cheaper products that just wouldn't work well with each other 🫣 I'd recommend Only Curls for styling (their gels are everything) and The Body Shop for cleansing. Would love to see a video reviewing products from both lines 😊

Have you tried Boucleme? I know they are a UK brand. I order them online. They’re on the pricey side, but their products I feel like are extremely concentrated. For me less is more. I’m in the US, but one of my friends who lives in UK told me about this product. I was happy to know that they shipped to the US.

Thanks girls for doing this, i was in Superdrug a few days ago and wishing my fav curly girl KZbinrs would say which products were good/bad but they’re mostly in the US, very happy to find this video come up.I prefer buying in person so tend to go to Superdrug but a lot of the products are awful compared to USA. I will say tho Superdrug has just released CAROLS DAUGHTER!! Very happy to purchase a brand I’ve always heard about on KZbin. UK curly here and I haven't used any of the products in this vid!! I might try the Boots conditioner and the Superdrug serum as these seemed to perform quite well. I buy all my products online and, generally, go for content creator recommended items.

Thank you for doing a UK vid, we have less to choose from here, its gettiing better, but still a long way to go. I think the filming inside uk stores is case by cases basis. Some want you to ask first. Some dont care. Some its a no not here. I really think a different boots store would have been a different. Might also depend on the manager working thay day 😂

As a curly in the UK, I find it so difficult to find products. Part of this is a severe coconut allergy (even derivatives cause irritation, breathing problems, and hair loss too). I've only got one shampoo I can use (from lush) and one boots brand of body wash. There are more conditioners I can use but the majority of them not for curlies because those love coconut. I cannot find a mouse that holds at all. I have tried about every one and they just don't have hold for me. The only thing that keeps me going is Umberto Giannini curl jelly scrunching jelly. It is rough out here. I'll have to read the back of the boots moisture to see if I can use that...but probably not.

I’m a UK wavy and compared to that scalp scrub, I prefer the Umberto Giannini Glow scrub which uses sea salt that dissolves instead of having beads, and it also smells super good. I’ve also started trying the scalp rescue enzyme mask which is working out well for my scalp. Any of the garnier hair food 3 in 1’s are great for my hair, and I seal off with a light gel or mousse

I wish I had known this video was coming! I have been dying for you to try the Boots Curl Creme which is my holy grail, I would have explained how to use it. Much as it is called a creme it is a strong hold gel with a superb cast! It's best used last, left to allow it to start to create the cast then hover diffuse. It is reasonable in rainy weather but in cold weather it is great with a spray mix of glycerine & water over the top. Gives gorgeous curls! It really comes into it's own in our humid summer though & totally banishes frizz. It does not create volume & isn't moisturizing IMO though. I would !I've to see you both try it again if you still have it. The rest of that range is not a great buy but the Creme is the best you can get in a gel over here.

Love the UG texture spray. It's so good for styling. However I found the Boots cream gave me this horrible sticky white build up. But it has been reformulated so I might try it again. Their mousse is great!

Omg 🤯 I’m from CA literally in my London hotel room (with a Boots across the street) watching this video. I’m only a minute and a half into the video and I also flew delta one on an over night flight, and wore my bonnet ( I have my hair braided up for the trip though so I don’t have to worry about it) today was our first full day and we also did the hop on hop off bus tour. There is a phone booth outside our hotel I tried to get in yesterday for my freind to take my pic but I stepped in and it smelled so strongly of piss I said nope 😂

I have a few tubs of hair food by garnier I use as a leave in as well as deep conditioner, or a handful for a refresh. Boots bags always give up if you have more than about 2 products

you have to take into account that the water in london is very hard and has limescale in it? definitely more drying regardless of what you use. I was still chemically straightening when i lived there but you need more moisture than you think to counter the water for hair and skin

The Scalp Scrub helps my scalp so much, and kind of clarifies too (especially once washed afterwards). It is a pre wash product so I don't worry about some walnut pieces left in my hair as by the time I've washed, rinsed the particles are gone, and if there's a tiny bit left by the time I've conditioned and rinsed they're all gone and conditioned. I wouldn't be without it, even though here in Australia it's more expensive. Umberto Giannini also has a Scalp Soothing Anti-Dandruff Scalp mask too which is similar without the walnut pieces. The formulation isn't as strong acting but I use it alternatively with the Scalp Scrub. I think the Scalp Scrub would work just as well without the walnut pieces, especially if you use a scalp massager (like those silicon ones).

Superdrug tends to have an okish range but I mostly get my hair products from black hair shops like beauty queens . They tend to have loads of options , a lot of the popular brands you find in the US.

Many recommend products to build healthier hair but almost none discuss products for already healthy hair. I’m currently using Curlsmith’s weightless cream and it’s gel and they work great, just looking for more options to try.
