I wear pads because the thought of using tampons scares me, but my main issue(s) with them are (1) when they bunch up, (2) when they stick to my butt, (3) when they shift to one side, and (4) when they give me (what feels like) diaper rash. I've been using the Always Flex Foam ones, and I like them, but these are all the issues I have with pads.

I'm european too and always used an applicator. And all the brands I've seen in my country come with one like the blue in the video. Only one brand that I know comes without.

I am 14 and have had my period for a little over 2 years. For the first year or so my cramps were terrible but the longer ive had it the better it's gotten so hopefully it will continue going that way 😂😂 love you guys ❤

I love these videos so much! One thing that most people don’t know, is that when your in the water, your period gets so lite that barley any blood comes out! The problem would be when you get out and the blood comes out, but hopefully the water would stop it from coming out :)

The reusable applicator is intriguing. I've been using tampons with cardboard applicators my whole menstruating life, but I'm finding them harder and harder to find in stores lately. But the plastic ones seem more terrible to me. (I operate under the assumption that the cardboard ones would eventually break down in a landfill? Gross... let's not think about that too much.) Love the nails!! 🥰 I'm a 59 year old woman with 11 and 12 year old girls. I had a hysterectomy 20 or so years ago. All I ever did were pads unless swimming. I didn't find tampons comfortable or reliable to prevent spotting. The only exception was the Rely brand, but using those and finding out about toxic shock issues with them really scared me off of tampons. I appreciate you teaching me about new options on the market before my girls need them! 🤗

I wish more people would use cups instead of tampons cause they're more eco friendly 🥺. It does take a few tries but its great especially for girls who are at school. You can go the whole school day without changing it and be able to do it in the comfort of your own home. It made my school experience so much better!

Yesss I used to wear tampons but I started wearing the Victorias Secret ones like two years ago and I LOVE them. I hate pads, but the period underwear is so comfy!! I only ever wear tampons if I have to dress up and go in public. Everyone I told about them thought it was so gross, but once they tried it they never went back!!

Thanks for uploading, that was really informative! I was always wondering though why tampons in the US have the applicator, I always felt like that’s such an unnecessary waste. I guess it’s so that you don’t get your hands dirty, although I guess that never completely works and I hope every girl washes their hands after no matter what. In Germany the applicators don’t even exist. You just have the cotton tampon and I feel like we just learned how to not make a mess inserting them😂 I guess it would help for starters to insert a tampon with the applicator, but it definitely also works completely waste free, even without the reusable applicator🤷‍♀️ Love you guys, have a great day😘

In NZ, we have tampax tampons that come with a cardboard disposable appplicator. I used those, as i often worked in germy environments, so felt that was cleaner, especially where we didnt have drinkable water for hand washing.

I love the period talks because I got mine in school and I didn’t know what to do and these videos helped me and I didn’t want to tell my mom because I didn’t know what she would say. And then she found out two days later. Then I told my teachers later the next week.
