Hmmmm always wondered the difference between pilots and ODST's, so pilots are just marines capable of flying pelicans in outer space and wear fancy ODST helmets.

ODST Kefro they’re basically just marines with pilot training or possibly UNSC Navy pilots. Also the helmets are a bit different from ODST helmets if you look closely, look up “Halo 3 pilot helmet”

@@odstkefro3343 odst's are highly trained special forces trained for incursions, infiltration, and extraction or shock and awe operations. The pilots are trained for troop transport, air support, and space battles,dogfights which are alot more prevalent than the games show and odst's are useless in. They are both basically just Marines with opposite training regiments.

There's a game mode I have called Katrina, it's King of the Hill with stuff flying at you at all time. Eventually it consistently crashes everybody's MCC because it's overloading it or something

Yeah, the forge arm and pilot island are old Halo 3 bugs that never got fixed. Why would they, you have to go out of your way to do them. As for the no teleport crash, I think that was fixed almost immediately after the game was released. No, it never corrupted the game, that was just a rumor

I've had Halo 5 sort of freeze up on me enough to have to restart Forge by spawning two oversize prefabs too soon after the other. I was using a full scale Marathon-class frigate, and that's how I learned to give the game a minute to calculate the geometry when you do that. If you get enough players to spawn prefabs at the same time, you might be able to induce a crash bug New Alexandria has the exact same replacement system for the Falcons. You'll need one player to fly CAP and fend off the Banshees, and the others park their Falcons with the center of mass on the edge of the building, get the gunners out, and punch it off the edge. We used this in our Legendary cheese run to repair battle damage, but I realized while we were doing it that you could use it to spawn an army of troopers. My initial idea for this was to put them on an objective before the Covenant spawned so they'd have fought them off already by the time you got there, but you could also try to overload the map. I generally find Reach to be a very stable game, especially on MCC, and you'll have the same problem with the actor limit eventually, but New Alexandria is a big map, so you can probably get the lighting or the framerate to look pretty crunchy. The AI is also one of the first things to go, so you might be able to get them to be unaware of players. Besides, everyone has different experiences with these kinds of things. It just might crash, especially if you do it on opposite sides of the map at the same time. If you really want to induce a performance crash, you'll probably have the most luck with an original Xbox One

Every Halo game uses the same engine, which is an updated myth engine from 1996 used for Bungie's RTS games, it has had a lot of extra stuff added to it over the years. 343i is finally using a new engine because of Halo's Blam engine's so damn old.

I remember discovering a Halo 5 forge glitch back in the day. Basically if you spawn enough grids it pushes you out of map and you can explore any map out of the invisible barriers. Very fun on the map that is underwater.

There’s a sort of crash when trying to resume the level composer from halo 4 in a playlist. The game will load then immediately boot you out back to the menu. Sorta annoying when I was doing LASO (definitely didn’t have to restart or anything haha). But that crash has been happening for awhile

I remember WAYYYY back before the MCC was revived, if you were to assassinate the Knight Commander at Midnight after the weapons room, the game freezes and does not recover unless it restarts. That paticular part made me not want to boot up MCC until it was revived

An easy way I found to crash Halo 5 on forge (even on larger maps) is spawning a bunch of vehicles or player made vehicles when using one of the weapons from the forge req glitch. Combining the Sentinel Beam and SPKR Ex Rocket, having the Sentinel Beam being the held weapon on the player. After firing the weapon continuously at the bunched vehicles, the amount of projectiles and explosions will eventually at one point break the game. There’s too much going on for the game to function. The frame rate will drop drastically and eventually break and send you to the Xbox home dashboard. Me and buddy did it for about 30 minutes to an hour and it usually hard crashed out our games

I used to do the one where you both grab the weapon in forge mode a lot split screen, I remember on the stand alone there was some different things that happened depending on if you used a gravity hammer, killed the player model or deleted the weapon, sometimes they'd die but float by their torso to the north most point of the map I think I remember hearing. They'd just glitch into the wall with increasing force and the game would lag to a hilarious degree but it's never crash. Also I think if you shoot em in the arm hole they don't take damage

Also the reason the arms disappear is you manipulate the weapon enough they seemed to blow up or stretch to a ridiculous size and fly away, if you went frame by frame in theatre you'd get some really cool shots

I recently did my first halo legendary campaign and started on CE and used the old graphics. Once I got onto truth and reconciliation when I entered the area where you fight hoards of covenant to board the gravity lift to enter the ship, the game would always crash after the first wave of covenant for literally two months.

I've only ever had one glitch with the MCC, and that was years ago. Sometimes, when I played Halo 4, when I paused and then unpaused, there would be no sound. No music, no voices, no effects, nothing. I'd have to reboot the entire game - MCC and all - to fix it. It got patched a few years back.

I saw someone already pointed this out but they’re pilots, not ODSTs. However, they are also technically Marines. Because the UNSC is structured very similarly to that of the United States Military, the Marines of Halo have roles designated for Pilots. We see them piloting Pelicans and Hornets (and possibly the Bumblebee from CE) similar to how United States Marines have pilots that fly their transport aircraft, attack helicopters and multirole jets. Jumping back for a second, ODSTs seem to be similar to the Spartan program in that recruits can be from various branches of the military. The only difference is that they are usually organized with Marines.

This reminds me back in Halo 3 on Sand Trap, you could heavily ruin the framerate of the map(for everybody playing) by driving an Elephant into the crashed phantom. Me and a friend would try and get both elephants and drive up on the crashed phantom together and it became near unplayable for the whole lobby.

You can use certain modded weapons in Halo 5. You need multiple players and it only works on certain weapon combos. I think you can use one of the Plasma casters varients. I think Scourge of Fire it’s called as like, the ammunition and I used the Boltshot as the weapon that shoots. You could probably use any automatic weapon. Just don’t hit LT because it will activate the Plasma Caster rounds

I have a prefab (I think that’s what they are called) where it’s a mongoose with like 300 odst pods that are inside each other and once you approach it, the physics change to normal and instantly crashes the game so i have the power to join random people’s games and crash them.

Just to clarify a lot of these aren't MCC specific and happen in the originals, a lot of those overloads will happen a lot easier/faster in the originals too because of the older hardware getting overloaded faster, if you guys all have XB1X's that might be why your finding it harder to crash with overloads like the hornet one at the end compared to other people who might be using OG XB1s. I used to overload and crash H3 all the time back in the day, good ol instant respawning hundreds of trip mines in the corner always did the trick. And those are just Marine pilots btw lol

In halo 5 there is a prefab that is meant to immediately crash your game it’s a button attached to a container that spawns a bunch of lightning strikes. If you want to find it it’s the first thing when you type “grandpa” into the custom search

Me and my brother played all the Halo games on the MCC on legendary and we never crashed lol. Maybe it’s cause we have an Xbox One X or we just got lucky. I’m sure glad as hell we didn’t crash on a final cutscene in Halo 2. Halo 2 was the hardest and longest process for my and my brother to complete.

I have noticed that halo 3 has a lot of issues within mcc, like i got a really odd bug screen black screen with red text telling me to report to a long broken link for bungie, it definetally wasn't taken out, i was on the mission with the 3 towers and i was driving after he 2nd one on a ghost i got out and got hit in a weird way which made me clip through the ground for not even a second then the screen pulled up

To be fair with the scarab gun one that scarab gun was originally only ever built.into the metropolis level 343 had to go in and add it to all the other levels for the skull to work so im sure it's a minor bug somewhere in the spaghet of Gravemind lol

Theres an awesome way to lag the crap out of halo reach forge that not many people know about. If you make a donut shape with the stone spires and take another rock and stick it in the center and switch the physics to normal(while holding the object) the game lags extremely badly.

Game development back in the early 00s was a real wild west of terrible practices. I'm not sure what happened but some time around 2000 developers were like "let's make all of our code and file systems entirely horrible for anyone coming back to this project in anything more than a couple months time"

wow did you know the easiest way to break halo reach or probably any other halo game on mcc is turning off your wifi(disconnect)start any mission,play for like 3 seconds,back out then go back in and if a cutscene is supposed to be happening,you just stare at the opening part but nothing happens and you stay there glitching the game. You can only do this solo with the skull that makes you restart the campaign after death.
