TJ, had a blast going to the different shops and picking your brain about all things bourbon. The Stagg 22A is absolutely incredible!! Thanks again for everything. Learned a lot and you without a doubt sparked an even bigger bourbon obsession for me.

When he said something was his favorite because it was smooth he lost me. That is usually a sales pitch i hear at stores that the sales man doesn’t drink much.

@@brandonjones6703 did you not hear the well of knowledge about his product? More importantly he actually gives a shit. A salesperson will never give you a straight opinion, he showed a variation of products and leaned towards some of his favorites. Given how it seems like he’s tried his fair share of whiskey, I’m sure he can genuinely distinguish a spirit as “smoother” or the proof not hitting the pallet as strongly for 100 proof.

You could do Brewzle tasting sessions. During your bourbon hunts sell tickets and do a tasting with a bunch of bottles. Bring bottles to drink em, make space in the car for new bottles, and small profits for the hunt. Kinda like a concert tour

There's just something about these bourbon hunting videos that's so engaging even for non-enthusiasts. They all follow the same pattern/format obviously, but each one is different enough that you don't get bored watching 5 in a row. I'm a freelance video editor, so I know how hard it is to make content that has that balance of familiarity & surprises-- I just had to leave a comment commending y'all for that. Keep em coming. Anyways, if you've read this far, greetings from the land of the Razorbacks, and hit me up if you ever need another video editor, ha! 🤘

9:25 my dumb idea: Franken Barrel. Buy an empty barrel, put every open bottle that you might not finish in there til you're out or its full. Wait a period of time, say a year, and then bottle them up again and give to supports who can travel to Alabama to get them.

Ragged Branch is farm to bottle! They're out of Charlottesville, VA. They grow the grain on site, feed the spent mash to beef cattle on the farm, and sell the beef in their on farm/on distillery store. And, the bourbon is fantastic!

I'm sure doing something for patrons/members would be great. A concept I am doing is a themed "infinity bottle" though you could do a blend. For me, I love Russell's picks, so I'm building and infinity bottle of just my RR picks, to create something fun that is partially every pick I've ever picked up for RR. Just a thought!

Very cool 1st two stores and knowledge as well which I love to find. The 3rd store are the type that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Like going to a shady used car dealer lot. It is always “I can’t do that” “buy more” and I will reduce the vasty inflated price by a dollar. I hunt regularly my 3 near to me states and 2 are abc and 1 is secondary. A lot of abc state people don’t realize you can get better prices on regular bottles in a lot of secondary markets. It is just the hard to get and allocated that we get at a fair price. Love that you bought that young man a Stagg. Lots of respect for you TJ and glad I am a Patreon.

Regarding the bottle excess, I'd say maybe sell like sample flights? You can buy small brewzle sample bottles and maybe put together a care package of 5 samples and then do 3oz of each? You can do limited runs of set bottles and really focus on a well blended experience and strategically reduce your supply

Georgia is definitely different. Been bourbon sipping and collecting for 6 years. Bottles I’ve never seen readily available. My bother lives outside Atlanta. He has a shop he’s loyal to and the owner reciprocates. My brother has purchased 2 Staggs in the past year,,,,at retail! I had the opportunity to taste the first Stagg he purchased along with several other sought after bottles. The Stagg stood out by far as the best by far. Coated my palate with rich dark fruits, vanilla, brown sugar, some notes I can’t explain. And I say coated,,, like 10W/50. The finish completes this pour by lasting for half a minute or more. Hope that young man enjoys the bottle TJ got him. That was an awesome gesture!

My Fiddler recommendation is Georgia Heartwood Bourbon (the single barrel) I picked it up at my TX TW b/c I am originally from Atlanta and a couple of years ago it was $65 or $70 but people have caught on and so then did TW and jacked up the price to ~$92 here in north texas at TW. This has presented a a value dilemma for me. Because it is a great, flavorful and surprisingly has some good complexity to it, but at $70 it was a splurge and at 92 it’s just too high. But I definitely would recommend that one if you are looking to try fiddler. You (and your wallet) may not buy another one but you’ll enjoy the one you do have

Hey, love your videos. If you want to get more into rum I recomend you check out the plantation OFTD and 5 year. In my oppion all of the platation stuff is really good, except the xyamac, but those two in paticular are good rums for burbon drinkers. I also highly recomen the el derado 12 year. all three are very reasonably priced 25-35 dollars. I feel like since rum isnt as in vouge as burbon right now these really good rums kinda get slept on so you can get really good value on a bottel of rum. pluss dollars go alot farther inbplaces where rumbis made so that makes it cheaper too. I would love to see your videos branch out in that direction. Either way I will be watching.

Fun video Brewzle. I’m in Canada where bourbon selection is pretty awful so seeing some of the assortments here is pretty amazing. But the pricing is bizarre. I recently found a Rock Hill Farms for $99 CAN, or something like $70-$75USD. And we have oceans of Buffalo Trace for $45CAN. But then a Makers 101 costs us nearly $100CAN. It’s strange. I’m living vicariously through you! All the best. Greg in Nova Scotia.

My advice to getting bottles out to other to enjoy… is to create a page or group that folks could buy into. Like say $50 to enter, use a number generator, and you can ship those bottles out while not losing your backside on price. I’ve been part of many gun raffles online, and that’s how it works and it works well for both parties. Keep on keepin on buddy!!

So I keep a bottle of Fiddler Unison at my bar at home as it’s generally the easiest to find. If you’re going to buy Fiddler or any ASW for a video I’d hold off and buy the Hesrtstring or Soloist. ASW bourbons are sourced though. You should have grabbed that Doc Holiday. It’s high proof, 127 proof I think. But it’s fully distilled here in Georgia. People don’t know much about it and they went a little over the top with the bottle but it’s a very good bourbon. I have to sell patrons at the bar I work at but once I get them their first pour they’re generally impressed with it.

If you come across any Rebecca Creek you should buy some. It's a small distillery in San Antonio that actually distills their own.

Glad I'm not the only one who likes the Benchmarks. I prefer them over the expensive stuff.. really good stuff.

If you are looking for farm to table, You REALLY need to try out anything from Iron Fish Distillery out of thompsonville Michigan. There fields they grow their grains at are at the distillery. They do a lot of finished products which are VERY GOOD, but the straight bourbon and rye are GREAT
