As a Jamaican im very happy to see other ppl enjoy our food. but here is a rule . a patty isnt really a patty unless it is dangerously hot. you cant enjoy a cold patty. it has to be so hot you're blowing out steam and avoiding 3rd degree burns while chewing. also curry goat goes with white rice.

Coming from a Jamaican i appreciate that you found an authentic Jamaican restaurant to try from bcuz alot of people call it Jamaican but it doesn't look like it. This however does and I love that. Next time u guys r here hit me up and I can recommend some great spots to visit...btw Isaiah it is an Irish potato that u ate in the curry goat we love adding Irish potatoes to curry 😂

Curry goat can have irish (white) potato and carrots in the dish. We don't use yam (yucca) but maybe to give a different spin on it people may do that. Big ups to my 🇯🇲🇯🇲 dishes coming out to the party and representing well 😊

When it comes on to natural fruit juices its best if you shake it before you drink because most times it can settle at the bottom but when you shake you get all the flavours together àgain.

The jam taste in the Gizzada is the caramelized brown sugar. You have to cook the coconut, sugar and ginger before putting that in the pastry to bake.

Definitely happy to see people try our food! However have a Jamaican explain what goes with what - Oxtail should have been with rice and peas and gravy not Mac and cheese. The experience is not complete. Curry goat can go with rice and peas or white rice (we all debate this internally on a regular basis). Gizzarda is not a cookie… more a pastry. It’s shredded coconut, ginger and cinnamon in a pinched pastry… Patty need to be hot, so hot you get burn from holding it in the bag and even worse when you bite it and trying to chew! Flakes are a part of the experience, glad you recognized that. I say you need a round two with a Jamaican to guide you.
