Too much salsa does not ruin a meal. In Mexico we use chilis for everything. You find it in breakfast,lunch,dinner,chips, candy, dessert,drinks, beer,. When i was little growing up my mom would say if i did something bad she was going to put chili all over my mouth. But im Mexican so that wont do nothing 😂😂😂

A torta is a Mexican sandwich and yours looked ahogada which means drowned, as in with the red sauce (soaked). Flan is a Mexican dessert and those tamales did look dry 😅

By the way, if you ever travel to Mexico, every city has it's own taco specialty. 100 cities and you will eat 100 different tacos. Hint: try the Oaxaca mole negro. It is a sauce made with ground red dried chiles, melted chocolate, ground raisins, ground nuts, ground spices and all boiled together (30+ ingredients) to make a thick dark red sauce that is poured over a piece of skinless chicken and served with beans and rice. Makes a great mole burrito the next day for your work lunch.

Uh, the carnitas? You were given tortillas to make tacos out of the carnitas. Then you sprinkle the cilantro and onions on top and drizzle the salsa on top of that. It's dry because you are lacking the toppings. (If you had any birria broth left over you could have drizzled that on the carnitas too.)

Carnitas is a hell of a lot better then carne asada Carnitas is supposed to be fatty and delicious and Berria tacos are supposed to be dunked in the consummate and for your information the Tortas are supposed to be like that because in some parts of Mexico they dunk the torta in red sauce
