Funny to me that you would go to Baja in the middle of summer and be surprised it's so hot! Then complain about salt water and head to the dessert in such heat! I'd just get a hotel in my own town and save some money! 😂 But nice too see no car problems in the crazy heat!!!! Go Clemintine!!!

You have to do what you have to do to stay sane! And if that means a night or three in a hotel to not melt, it is absolutely justified. Oh my word, Allison's line about the ducks...it's so true! We booked nights in a beautiful old Victorian hotel and then experienced record breaking temperatures. The hotel had no AC. We wish we would have bailed and went to a holiday inn.
@Theendlessadventure3 ай бұрын
Oh no! Sad you know our pain... But ya, the stay might have been a bit expensive, but it was SO worth it in the end. Here's to hopefully no more a/c-less nights for a loooong time! 😁

I used to vacation in Baja frequently. (Lived in San Diego) Puertocitas is beautiful and has natural springs in the lava formations on the beach. You also should know that the Sea of Cortez is heavily populated with sharks. Giant squid have also been found in those waters.

Hey guys, may I recommend, not just for van life but life life, the Ryobi fan that takes power drill batteries. I have one, and it literally lasts all night and then some with that power drill battery! I have zero affiliation with them - I just have one, and it’s awesome.

Guys. Why don’t you buy a energy power device so you can have your AC running? I live in Puerto Rico and the heat is intense. So every RV owner makes sure they have their own power device. I own a 29’ and I cannot imagine myself without it. Hope you consider it.

Well I will say Allison looks pretty darned cute down there! LOL For boondocking, I'm betting that you're regretting removing the generator! PRO TIP, fire up the engine and run the chassis AC for an hour at a time. I know it burns fuel, but staying cooled off and alive is a little more important than the fuel bill. We're full time in central Texas, so trust me there have been several times where the engine was running (with the chassis AC) and the generator to power the big cabin AC.... It gets a little warm at times. We even added a portable AC unit to ours because it's been pretty warm this year compared to the last 2 after going full time.

Glad that you have a successful KZbin channel and the information of the places you provide is very well thought out and informative but also because you present your content with great enthusiasm. You guys have done amazing in most ways with the RV but... we concentrated on making sure we had heat/cool covered. Went mini-split, working fans!! and a huge battery (can go 24hrs in 110F or 20F on battery) and beefy enough generator for day 2, 3, ... It is possible to be a lot more comfortable temp wise than you're doing at the moment. But hey - don't mean to sound negative, just feeling bad for you're temp misery. Love to follow you and really appreciate all the sharing you do :)

Even here in Pennsylvania this summer I have been dying and our RV a/c hasn’t been able to keep up (the highest temp we had this summer was like 95 maybe). That is cool that there are two airstrips at the campground. At 7:50 in the video there is a number 22 in white numerals to the right of your RV as you are on the dirt road between highway 5 and your campsite, that is the Northeastern end of runway 22/04. The access road to the campsites runs parallel along the southern edge of runway 08/26. I also noticed there is a wind sock on field.

Anytime I hear someone talking about heat I am reminded of a particular deployment during which the temperature just kept increasing. I was out in a remote location with an interpreter, it was about 50 centigrade in the shade, there was a local nearby resting under a tree to get away from the midday sun. I was in full kit, sweating buckets. The local said something and the interpreter laughed. I asked what he said, and he replied 'Wait until the summertime'. On that same deployment, it as so hot that at about 6 am I would get up, sit on the edge of the camp bed to put my boots on, already with a headache from dehydration, and before I had got them on, sweat would already be dripping off the end of my nose.
