We tried several times and finally caught these new parents at home to give them a Secret Santa gift

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local Secret Santa give $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season.
Justus is an incredibly kind, giving person. He and his wife, Jessica, have had a few hardships recently.
They just had their first baby, a daughter named Maddie, about three months ago. She was having a difficult time keeping food down and a few weeks ago, they rushed her to the ER.
It turns out her stomach was completely twisted and during emergency surgery, they also found a hole in her diaphragm, which doctors were able to fix.
Justus was unable to work for that first week as they have been staying in the hospital with her. He is now back to work but Maddie has been in and out of the hospital. He and Jessica switch off who sleeps on the chair and the bed in the hospital, which is extremely uncomfortable, especially for Justus because he is 6'10".
Secret Santa asked us to track Justus and Jessica down. It took a few visits but we finally caught up with them! Check out the surprise in the video player above.

Watching these videos from East Idaho News has been a highlight for my month of December. Nate is so kind, so comfortable and deals with people in such a respectful way, understanding but not syrupy. The sincerity of Nate and his crew has impressed this Pennsylvania lady. I'm sure Secret Santa gets are much pleasure from the videos as I do.

I know Nate is just the messenger. But, he puts his heart into this so much every year. I can't imagine the time he puts into traveling, and dropping off these gifts. I wish that one year Secret Santa would do something special for him. Send him somewhere nice, a special family trip. And his crew, something equally just as nice for each of them. They may not have the struggles all these folks have. But, to me, they deserve to be recognized for their work that they do in these communities.

What this has taught me is that whatever struggles I have, it can be so much worse. It's given me gratitude. As I said I have been watching and it never ceases to amaze me how the secret Santa tops each year better than the year before. I have met the mom. She is really sweet. I had 4 medically fragile preemies including preemie triplets. Back and forth to the hospital, stress and worry, it really is an ordeal. So happy to see them getting this kind of support.
