I've helped out some of the panhandlers at the traffic light that leads to Walmart. I drive past most of them but when my intuition starts screaming at me I stop. Nothing more heartbreaking than seeing a 75 - 80 year old woman standing in the freezing cold because she needs $ for the rent.

Yes when you've been in that type of situation you appreciate the help to not be homeless. And for those who've been there you appreciate the help getting back on your feet again. And you don't have to live in a country like the US where you pay for medical care to be in this situation, it happens to many of us here in Canada as well.

I’m bawling! 🥲 I think Monica knew Nate was a special elf … and was overwhelmed at the thought that Secret Santa had found her and her husband, Jeff. The relief of knowing you have a home and gas for your car is enormous. It brings some ease to your life .. their prayers have been answered in kind.
