I don't watch buzzfeed videos too much anymore but I really appreciate that they included a size 12 in this video, as someone who hovers around a 12 I definitely relate to what she talked about with being too big for straight sizes and too small for plus sizes. Not to mention trying to find things secondhand, where tag sizes can be deceiving because the garment is older/vintage and sizes have changed so much

Me too! My body naturally loves to be a size 12 (even though I keep trying to force it to be a size 8-10 with working out and dieting lol) but yeah I’ve had the same experience with size 12s. Sometimes they’re in the “normal” sizes and sometimes they’re plus size. Also, if they’re called plus sizes, why aren’t straight sizes called minus sizes?

The universal standard jumpsuit definitely fit both girls the way it was supposed to. On the website, you can see it has an oversized look but I guess that wouldn't fit the narrative of them being two sizes.

What narrative? She literally showed in the measurements that they were all different. She ordered the same size, which included measurement, meaning they all should have been the same. Regardless of the look they were going for, it's obviously not that size measurement at all. Likely she should have sized down and probably will next time she orders from them. It's helpful to know when a company straight lies to you about sizing so you know if you want to deal with them or not.

@@a.s.9237 Of course they were different measurements, they all had different fits and used different materials. If the pretty little things jumpsuit had the same measurements as the asos, it wouldn't have fit. Spandex and stretchy materials are cut smaller because they stretch and conform to the body. The last one fit both girls exactly how it was supposed to, they even said they liked it but only said it didn't fit because it didn't fit the message they were trying to get across. If they are going to say something doesn't fit then actually show an item that doesn't fit, don't just buy an oversized fit and criticize it for not fitting close to the body. This concept would have worked a lot better if it was all high-rise jeans or all structured blouses.

I love her. She has repeatedly showed how sometimes the largest straight size is too small and the smallest plus size at the same store is too big. The gap between those two size ranges also happens to be the average sized woman in the US right now so it's pretty mind boggling that you can be the actual statistical average and brands don't make clothes for you.

I wish sizes were standardized. I'm anywhere from a size 3-6 and a size S-L. I hardly ever shop online because I can't trust that things will fit properly. I am also curvy and so sometimes one part of my body matches one size and another part of my body matches a different size and then idk if the outfit I'm buying will end up looking good or not :(.

It’s so hard to find clothes that fit across multiple stores. I went clothes shopping for the first time in several years recently, and I was somehow a size 11, size 10, size 8 and even a size 6 at different stores. I wish measurements were more standard for clothing.

Ease in different designs is just crazy. Being able to understand how things fit around you, especially as most of us will have our weight fluctuate through our lifetime, is so important. This is why I sew more and more of my clothes.

I love Eloquii, but I have had issues with fit where I had to size up or it was big however wasn’t big enough to size down. Pants there can be difficult to fit perfectly all the time. Size up when it comes to bodysuits!

No one is denying that sizes frustratingly vary among stores, however, not all of these pieces were designed to fit the same way (some skin tight, some boxy, some flowy) so its not surprising at all that the measurements vary. Like, a catsuit is not a jumpsuit lol

I believe in being healthy and not having to much weight around the waist area, because of your heart. That being said, I am a size 10, I’d be healthier for my blood sugars at a size 6-8 (let’s be realistic, I’ll be an 8... I love eating) but Jazz just said the upmost truth. The disgust I have for diet culture is out of this world. The companies make you second guess all the time. Same store and type of clothing and I’d be a medium or a large. Like I just get both and see which one is more comfy and looks better. I don’t worry about the size anymore, it’s all a scam.

I hate the concept of “plus size” who gives the fashion industry the right to tell who is plus and who isn’t. These women are beautiful and do not need to be labeled as one thing or another. The fact that the “petite” size is cut off and goes to “plus” just pisses me off. I wish sizing was the same as men’s. Fashion industries need to step it up honestly..
