Nice video! Looks like a really nice spot and a great day for it. And it’s good that you get to go out at this time of year. Are German winters typically mild enough that you can go windsurfing throughout the whole winter? Looking forward to your storm session! Ich wünsche Dir einen guten Rutsch. Grüße aus Kanada.
@WindsurfingNils Жыл бұрын
typically they#re rather mild yes, we had 2-3 weeks in november where we had snow and negative degrees, and usually in january/february there is also some freezing, but usually only a couple of weeks a year where it's to cold to sail.
@gpt0815 Жыл бұрын
It depends on what you like. You should allways think about a situatuon when you have to swim for 10 minutes or longer. Many people ignore this deadly cold water. Years ago I decided for me 10 degrees for water and air together with sun is my limit. This means at least 4 month without surfing.

Habt den See für Euch alleine! Stark!

Hi. How much speed difference do you think by using a 38cm vs 40cm fin on the Dark Horse ? Is it visible ? I mean what is the difference in feeling with the boards with different fins please ? Differenst stiffness and different length - Carbon vs Epoxy.

nice session, and interesting for me i have AC-Z and AC-X sais

Is it because it’s fresh water you are using a higher litre board?

What CAM means? and why is important? I have tried to find info in internet, but I didn't find the answer...
@perryquinn8401 Жыл бұрын
I just repaired my cam it fits on the end of the batten and a half round against the mast and flexß and swivels around as you Chandra sides and push the downwind side of the sail into a more power full foil shape it has two flexible strips from batten to mast piece they flex out one side and in the other accentuating the shape ,Perry 🌍🏆🤟😎
@tonyhussey3610 Жыл бұрын
It is camber induced.. so a plastic device bends the batten more... to give a deep curved cambered shape.. this device makes the batten more stable to handle gusts better and keep a poeerfull shape in light winds ...

I use a Glide 2 Severne with 3 cams. In some conditions, it's better, but sometimes it's not. Rotation and pickup from water are much harder than without a cam. Rigging can also take longer, but not always. The Nelipride, which has no cams, has a very narrow mast pocket; it's hard to put the mast in and take it out without damaging the sail windows. I would love for someone to test how fast and easy it is to rig the top 10 sails without damage and frustration, as well as test low-end and high-end speed cams vs. no cams.

@WindsurfingNils Жыл бұрын
