I'm glad you got to have so many foods I love and encourage people to try when they come to northern Thailand. Khao Soi, spicy salads, sweet roti, fried random things, meat with pickled veg, spicy basil. You hit the list. Well done Syd.

I love Phad Kra Pao (the dish you ate that was supposed to be spicy)! And Khao Soi is amazing too. So nice you get to experience a bit of Thai street food there. The music heard in the background was legit too.

The stuff that were fried are fried Thai bananas. They also had fried taros/pumpkin/other veggies. The fried ball is a chewy fried dough that translates to "ostrich egg". It's usually best to eat when it's hot. I'm glad you guys got to try all sorts of Thai food!

The fried dough balls are called ขนมไข่เต่า it’s basically fried dough balls that have a light sweet taste, the second fried item was a fried banana usually lightly battered and topped with sesame seeds after frying
