In order to change direction easily you have to be very aware and have a good core. Explosive power helps but awareness is key. Great video. Keep on running.

If I tried this i'd run face first into one of those monkey bars in under 20 sec.
@ekamjotsingh18044 жыл бұрын
@Smee Self The bars are padded, so it doesn't really hurt thaaat much. Still the athletes have to be in a perfect physical condition and ignore when they stumble and just keep running.
@qwertyTRiG2 жыл бұрын
@@ekamjotsingh1804 The quad is made of metal and wood. The bars are not padded. (And it would be quite dangerous if they were: you don't want anything to move when you're jumping off it.)
@ekamjotsingh18042 жыл бұрын
@@qwertyTRiG Yeah mb this is already one year old. At that time I saw a comment from a lot of people who said, whereas the official World Chase Tag account simply replied "Doesn't hurt" that's why I thought the bars were padded. There was a time when they tried to use pads, but it unfortunately didn't work. I'm a freerunner myself so ik what you mean by it would be dangerous.
@qwertyTRiG2 жыл бұрын
@@ekamjotsingh1804 Cool. As a freerunner, you probably know far more than I. I'm going to see it in person for the first time at the end of the month.

Great effort Anna! I thought this was a recent video but noticed the date after. You should go back with the rest of the team and have a challenge there. Thanks for this video!

This looks like a fun form of hiit. The studies showing 20 second bursts of exercise is best for cardio health. I guess our bodies learned from running away from predators.

This sport is resembling a child game very known in México to called Atrapadas. Only that it's an extreme level. Even so it looks very fun.

This looks like great fun! Did something similar during my mate's hen do a couple years back, except we hired out a kids soft foam playhouse and played tig with a group of 8 of us. I think my running helped there, especially as there were slower targets! Certainly less bruises than this mind!

Some of the best evaders (e.g., Mark Bowles) stay low. Mark is a parkour athlete, and is perfectly capable of going high (he often does when he's chasing), but as an evader he almost always sticks to the floor, and it works for him.

There are some women who do, yes, but not many! Ps, don't forget to hit 'Subscribe' and tap the bell icon so you get notified when we upload new videos about running - there's new stuff every week and it'd really help us out if you subscribed ☺️ (it is free after all! And you don't get much for free these days)

Ashlee in the USA is interesting because she's from a basketball background, not parkour. The vast majority of WCT athletes come from a parkour background, so the few exceptions stand out.

There aren't yet enough female players, so the competitions are mixed. Currently, no team has more than one female member, to my knowledge.
