A disadvantage competitively 100% because I have a life. 1,000,000 XP being the MINIMUM needed limit to atleast achieve the whole POINT of the season reward is ridiculous man. Made WS with 31 ranked games. Got 10/12 programs done. And still am only at 620k. Gotta treat this shit like a part time job just to get to experience a third of the whole reason for the season rewards. Whoever thought of this shit didn’t look at it from the shoes of anyone else but themselves (developer of said game who gets paid to make an play it)

Yeah I’ve played an absolutely ridiculous amount but am basically F2P. Have every program done and I’m finally at 950k, which means I still need 200k to complete Season 1

The pack cards are ok but they should be. This game is very generous to NMS players and the ones crying all the time obviously never played MUT or 2k myteam. Theres gonna be packs with good cards because its a business. Those cards are not needed to win games

Prince is one of those cards that has a smooth swing so it just works. Here's a few cards that you'd think would be just ok not great, Sandy Alcantara (almost threw another perfect game with him like I did in MLB 22) and Jim Edmonds is also lowkey a smooth hitter, just crap against lefties. As for your take on pack cards, agreed. The only one I kinda want is Yordan because I've been raking with his core card this year. But other than that, there's no real reason to go for packs other than collections sadly. Now if we get in any of the following seasons an Acuna or Trout card.......yeah, might bite that bullet

He's always a favorite of mine...how they didn't add Cecil in last year on Father's day for the Father & Son program I'll never know. Off topic...but if you haven't tried the Tyler Rogers...omg he may be the most fun player ever to pitch with. I actually got a CG with 5 1/3 from Tyler & 3 2/3 from Hoby Milner...and it was a 1 hit shutout lmao! With them & Edward Cabrera I've never had so much fun pitching. Cabrera makes the ball move insane. I literally was so happy pitching (and I do enjoy it but this was like extremely fun) When I saw Tyler Rogers only having 19 velo I thought they made a mistake...so I had to try him...with his fastest pitch reading 84mph...I was like how am I gonna get anyone out...well he is the most accurate pitcher I've EVER used...and w the sidearm delivery I feel like he can hit spots others can't. The strikeout pitch was his fastball in the upper corner of the zone...Ive named Rogers Dotzilla. Milner is sick too...If we get a captain that boosts stamina to cards 30 & under I can pitch a CG with Rogers alone I hate how they changed TA3...cuz im just about done w 2 1 totally done....last weekend w the double XP...played 6 games vs CPU and didn't get 1 player lmao. I'm 6 players from CC and I'm so bored. This is an abusive relationship w this game

I dont feel like im at a disadvantage competitively. The quality of the cards isnt the problem. The constant foul offs, perfect lineouts and fluke hits too often impact the game to heavily. I've beat people that were clearly better than me and been beaten by players that flailed but fouled/ fluked their way to victory. The RnG in this game is insane, and i dont feel like I'm at the mercy of the game quirks rather than actual game skill

Is the feeling that this game still plays better on Xbox in regards to input lag true? Thinking about picking up an Xbox to try it out.

I agree with your take on pack cards. As a NMS player I’m just focused on buying cheap pack cards to fill collections for Brett, Mays and Paige (even tho he’s ass). And I’m finding it more enjoyable to use lesser used cards that were given to us in TA 2 and 3 like Ludwick, Stargell, Edgar, and Dawson.

I think the captains bridge the gap a little for us casual players. Cards like Soriano, Mike Napoli that are easily obtainable become viable on HOF and legend with 40k stubs for Ortiz boost

Regarding packs I don’t feel the need to buy them because I want the card but i do notice I’m behind on collections even with doing br and ranked programs so it feels like I have to buy those cards from packs just to keep up
